What did you pay for your Kia Stinger?

$19k+ out with a 0 return. :(

I wonder what the resale value will be for a 3 year used Stinger GT?
Won't be my problem. I'm an old dude, I've kept cars and pickup trucks after they were paid off and I ended up paying up the you know what for maintenance. Just put $2200 into my F150 I keep for plowing and hauling mulch. I understand there isn't any return but up here they all rust at about year 4. Especially the ones that are low to the pavement.

Ouch, that's rough for car owners out there. It sounds like you've weighed the pros and cons and came to the decision best for you. The Stinger is a nice ride. Good choice! :)

Thanks for the answers on the Balloon payments guys.

Got the Stinger GT1 Micro blue, for $36.7k OTD (Balloon).

I hope that’s a good enough price as I didn’t want to take any chances with the lease buy out here in Texas(though the dealer was stating that he gave me a tax break and I’d have to pay tax only once).

Wanted a red one initially but the only dealer who had red GT1 was a pain. But super happy with the Blue one as well.

I paid $2K more than you for a red one so I’d say you scored a great deal

So they lowered the selling price to $43K. $459 payment with $2200 DAS to cover taxes, DMV & first payment.

Latest lease sheet if anyone has feedback on the deal.

I wouldn't put any money down on a lease. Wrap the $2,200 into the payments and see how the deal looks.

Tax in NYS has to be paid up front from what I'm told. Good 'ol Cuomo. I might as well pay the DMV costs to transfer my plates. I'll question the first payment down though. Thank you.

Hi friends,

Just started lurking around and found a lot of great information on this forum. Decided it was time to pull the trigger on the Stinger so wanted to pick yall's brains.

I am a first-time car buyer so please bear with me. Looking for a 2019 Kia Stinger GT, and hoping I get a good deal since it's near model year end. Personally, I don't care much for all the bells and whistles so I would prefer to stick with the base GT model. I thought about lease-buy the car but I live in Texas and I read somewhere that there would be a double tax. Supposedly balloon financing is the way to go? How hard would it be to ask for 0% financing for a first time buyer and someone with pretty good credit (~790)?

I checked Truecar and was quoted $34,354 after dealer MSRP discount and customer cash on a base 19' GT RWD. I reached out to multiple dealerships and one of them offered 37k OTD (not sure if before rebates/incentives - need to ask). I think its decent but I could definitely negotiate.

Also, any insights on how the Texas Stinger market looks like in general would be greatly appreciated..

so semi personal question.. whats the credit score considered to initiate these lease buy outs. my credit took a hit awhile ago and ive been building it back up. like anything else, that takes time. but im aiming for a spring time purchase so not sure i should even consider the lease buyout an option. been mostly aiming at used 2019s

Someone working for a dealer would have a better idea, but I believe you'd need around 620+. You'd end up with a higher money factor but if you buy out right away that wouldn't matter.

Do you have the cash to do the buyout, or do you need to finance it? If financing, you'll also need to check with your lender to see what kind of rate you'd qualify for.

You may have better luck, but I wouldn't bother wasting time trying to score a deal on a used 2019. The lease cash incentive is just too high to pass up. Dealerships around my area can't compete with their own deals (and aren't willing to lose money so far) so the used 2019s (and even 2018s) are coming in around the same price as a brand new lease deal.

You'll need over 700 to qualify for a 24 mon lease (has the best rebates right now). For the buy-out...check with your local credit union. You can probably get a loan...just might not be the best rates?

2019 GTS $37k with 3 years of synthetic changes. MSRP was $45K

2019 Stinger GT2 RWD leased, $1500 down, $37k buyout. Planning on just buying it out.

Anyone know how viable it would be to take the 0.9% APR for 60 months offer for the new 2020 models compared to leasing it?

It looks like I won't be able to get a big discount from MSRP but I want to keep my financing rate low.
