What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

As soon as I backed out of the gargae the sky opened up. I got drenched just to get a single pic. It was fun! :D

I actually kind of like how that looks. But I also kind of like the red "stripe" with my blue. Now I'm torn!

Did you just have a pro shop paint it for you?

Yea I had that, the spoiler, and the "Stinger" script on the back painted. I also wanted them to do the roof but the price was ridonkulous.

That was the first one I found which put the new badge on top of the old one, then when I kept looking I found another that removed it. I could have sworn it was the StingerGTandMe guy, but I had another look and am mistaken, so I cannot for the life of me find the damn one I saw a few weeks ago! Anyhow, I bit the bullet and put the new one on top of the old one. lol. I can see the overlap but.....too bad, it's done now. :)

By the way, I bought a regular sized sunshield for the front window and it nowhere near fits. What do you use in the hotter months to shield the car from the sun when it is parked? As you can see, you got into my head and I didn't go to bed but had to put the badge on instead lol.
I have a "sproingy" wire one, that my insurance agent gave me for "free". It's the kind where you match the two circles of wire and then twist them into a figure "8", then stuff the whole reduced circle into a bag. It fits the entire dashboard and windscreen perfectly.

It says "made in China". No manufacturer name.

I got mine from Weathertech and it fits perfectly. It is a bit more rigid as well and can stay in place without lowering the sun visors. They are a bit pricey though but they last long enough I feel it is worth it.

Oo! Spiff! I'll keep this one in mind for when my cheapo freebie wears out. It's actually far more robust than I expected. Even the little bag. Nothing has ripped through or come unraveled, yet.

Ok you need to get the whole airbag assembly from korea with the E badge. Its about $700
The airbag with the e badge from Korea cost me 330 US on ebay, shipping included. I higly recommend to do it right way for safety purpose. You never plan to have an accident but if you do, you dont want the aftermark badge hit you in the face or somewhere where could be letal. Im a little paranoic about that. It is quite an investement, but there is no price for your safety. Just saying.

After converting to AUD and adding postage it’s $700

That’s not too bad, I’m told the average price to replace an airbag assembly is over AU$1,000.
I wonder if it is approved for use in AU as I believe AU regulations have airbag deployment set at a different rate, but I may stand corrected.

I bought my GT2 last Saturday, took it to the shop to get some things done, and finally I got her back yesterday, these are the things done to her.

1. Paint Protection Film
2. Brila Ceramic Coating
3. Ceramic Tint (50% front, 40% back - VA legal spec)
4. Exterior KIA Rebadge
5. Splash Guard Added
6. Installed Maxpider 3d floormats including trunk
7. Installed wheel locks
8. Installed Brake Vent Mesh
9. Installed a strip of paint protection film under the headlight
10. Programmed my homelink

And I thought I was OCD with my car! Lol

Got my Stinger's windows tinted this morning .
Looks good! Had laugh you blurred out ur number plate on one photo but left it in the other!
Let it sit in sun for a day it helps the tiny bubbles disappear.

Yes I realised that with the first photo. Lol.
I can't say that I notice that much difference with the tint lol. It looked dark in the first pic when I picked it up too.

Can't leave in the sun..... There IS no sun in Sydney today. It's raining

It rained for the first time in over 3 months here this morning so I thought I’d finally get a chance to test out the weathershields I put on a month ago. Nope. Cleared up early AM and blue skies again now.
