What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Re badged my front and rear! I know I'm certainly not the first but it looks so much better
Austin,
This looks nice and I will be doing the same. Since the E badge is smaller then the KIA oval...
How did you remove and was there a need to remove excess glue from factory badge?
Any concerns with this causing damage to the surrounding clear coat?

I used 6lb test fishing line (which in retrospect i could've gone higher) and lubed it with goo gone spray. Patiently saw back and forth under the badge on all sides for about 20 minutes or so until the exterior glue is cut through. Then I used a rubber spudger (rubber wedge) and slowly slowly slowly began pulling the badge away from the car while spraying more goo gone under it the whole time. And then yes there was tons of glue and sticky material left over. Took a while but eventually elbow grease and more goo gone got it off

Check out the Diy thread on the forum it has everything you'll need to know including badge removal.

The trick is to make it a leisure activity. Go slow, take your time, and enjoy the intimate moments with your Stinger :). The toughest part is lining up the "Stinger" rear badge so that it covers up the existing badge holes. Remember to silicone the hole so water doesn't get in. I think it is impossible to place the new badge so that the existing holes are 100% covered. I have just a little piece of a hole showing below the script, but it cannot be seen unless scrutinized with the hatch raised half-way, otherwise undetectable, but water will sure find its way in, if not caulked up.

Since I re-badged, I get at least half a dozen people a day asking me what kind of car it is. Seems like everyone loves the way the Stinger looks. Now with the warmer weather and the re-badging, it is a real conversation piece.

WHAAAAAAT! You’re kidding me ! Go drive it more.
I intend too start driving it much more, it's just that for a while now i have not driven far from home, and since i still have my VZ, i use the VZ for the local trips to the shops.

What do you think of dash cam? Put it left as it’s not in my line of sight so much and the cabling ran easier down side pillar under glove box down centre console to back 12 v socket just enough cable to do it and it’s all hidden.

Today I installed my Mivue 730 . Sorry about light was in garage.
Nicely done install, have you routed the cable out of sight ?

Perfect, when i purchase a new dashcam, i hope to do the same.
I have two dashcams, the first one i bought was quite cheap, good during the day, but at night not so good at all, so i bought the MiVue 580 which is excellent even at night with its Sony lowlight night vision, it has been at least a few years since i started using that first dashcam which i use to film the rear end view, once i had an issue with another driver, and the woman was yelling at me saying im paranoid for having dashcams, and the husband driver wanted to get out of his 4WD, but didn't because he knew he was being recorded...haha, i do not call it paranoid,, i call it society today, and you need to record it for your own safety and peace of mind.

See how I go I will do a short vid to show wear I tucked it away.
Look forward to it, Don't laugh :( , but a few days ago my battery was dead and the remotes do nothing, i had to use the metal key inside the fob to open the driver's door, and made my first ever call to Kia Roadside assistance who jump started my Stinger, and Yes, from under the front bonnet, the jump start terminals are at the top drivers side, but you only connect to the positive, the negative clamp connects to a silver bolt along drivers side to earth it.

Why did you have a flat battery?

That's awesome man! Did the car come with the Stingerhaus parts or did you get them installed post purchase? Could you provide me details with cost for the body kit and turnaround time? Will you also be lowering and getting the exhaust? I'm in Denver and I couldn't find a single Stingerhaus dealership.

Since i only have 115kms on her, the times i have driven it have been extremely short, and then she sleeps for a few days, I know I know, "this car was made and purchased for driving", i promise to start driving it much more often..haha.

Hey garage queens are fine too. You think Jay Leno drives all his cars? Maybe you're starting your own collection. Point is, if you're happy then it's all good :)

Thanx, for having an open mind, but i was supposed to pass on my VZ Commodore to my daughter, she then gets another car without letting me know, now im stuck with two cars until i sell the old one, i am happy to do a Stinger meet, and i do not intend to keep my Stinger garaged, but im too scared too use such a fine car just to park it at the local shopping car park...haha
