I am extremely hesitant to replace the bolts with a higher grade because then it will just break the diff mounting point...
Maybe the diff brace caused it, maybe if I kept the diff brace it may not have happened...
The Explorer ST (the TT 3.0 with 400hp) came with either "1 bolt" or "2 bolt" diffs, and it seems the former tend to break bolts if they aren't upgraded, but a diff brace keeps it from flexing enough to break the stock bolt. My guess is during the COVID supply chain shortages they figured the weaker diff from the 2.3 models would be fine (and it probably is until you start launching or tuning).And it's one thing to have a bolt head sheer off, but to have an entire mount snap like that boggles my mind.
