Neither of them have any KIA product of any kind and openly put shit on our product every chance they can, I can't be f&*%ed with the he said she sad bull crap from other forums so unless the accounts get booted you guys are stuck with them unfortunately.
The sad part is they are older than me and yet the childishness and stupidity knows no bounds

Swapped my 19 gauge cluster bezel to the 22+ model year bezel. Small detail but noticeably better looking.
Was going to do the install at the same time as the Alcantara dash panel that I was waiting a few months for from Tuscani Customs but that part went out of stock everywhere and Kia couldn’t provide them with an eta on when/if it would come back in stock.
All depends on how risk averse you are. Changing out to a brand new tire is always the safest bet.
That said, I've patched more tires than I could possibly remember... on 4 and 2 wheels. The sidewall caution is a valid concern, since side walls will flex and eventually chew thru a patch. Once it's up on a solid tread block, the radial belts are better supported, so carcass flex is far less of a concern. If it's in the groove, though, then it might not be stable enough to support a snot string type patch. Inside flat patch is probably okay.
I generally "derate" a patched tire, even if it's in a stable tread area. If it was a V- or H-rated tire, it then becomes no more than P- or Q-rated. For around town everyday driving, the tire isn't going to be stressed enough to be much of a concern. Realistically, that's what I do 99% of the time.
Bad angle so it looks like a gouge, but it's a thin piece of rubber leftover from molding that hasn't fallen off or been scraped off--like flashing from a metal casting.
As for the closeness to the sidewall, I was expecting it to be a new tire, but like @Volfy said, it's in the middle of a tread block and the shop said it was just inside of the repairable zone. I will keep an eye on it of course but now it's the rainy season and will be until June, so I won't be pushing her hard enough that I'm worried about major sidewall flex. She is holding air so there is that.

I know getting the dash off isnt bad, i did a color change and wasn't going to deal with working on it in the car...sorry side tracked. Anyway once the cluster bezel is off did you have full access to the gauge faced? Looking at doing some "face" work on them
I can answer this for you bud! Of course you probably assumed that id show face Hahahaha! Best way to describe the reflector strips is an old school puffy sticker. Yes real CF, but fully engulfed in an flexible resin it seems. Or something along those lines. Im on my second set. The first ones i got decent time out of for the cost, year and some change. Florida weather abuse got to them is all i could figure. I was happy with em so i did pick up another set.

I went silver on the steering wheel trim cuz I think the silver goes better with the rest of dash, especially if you swapped over the 22+ which has the silver trim around the gauge cluster. I like stuff more uniform but that's me. I wish Kia had done either all gloss black, all silver/aluminum or all carbon fiber instead of mixing/matching in the various model interiors.
