What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Took it for one last ride. To the dealer to pick up my Tesla Model Y Long Range. Sure hated to give it up, it was the best car I ever owned. But the world is moving on. Gas at 4$ / gallon is livable. But electric will be about 10% of that and insurance will be the killer. Self driving vehicles accident rate will be so much lower, the insurance for them will be cheap by comparison. The pool of people who want to continue driving themselves will be the ones with accidents and I forecast insurance for them will reach $15,000 or $20,000 per year, completely out of reach for me. So sadly, I have to make the move to an EV now. Here's a pic. {I did try to post this a couple of days ago, but apparently it didn't take.}

You have all been a great help over the years and lots of fun. Best wishes everyone.

Going from Prom Queen to Ugly Duckling. Interesting choice but you might want to wear a bag over your head when ya drive that thing for the first while. Anyway sorry to see you go, don’t let the door kick you in the aaaa bum on the way out. Cheers

Hate to break it to you but Autonomous cars are still a long ways away. They have come a long way but remember that these things are still experimental regardless what Elon tells you they are a risk and you and everyone around you are unwillingly the beta testers.

Nice easy day in my buddys shop.
He had some free time open on his lift so i put in my Eibach sway bar kit and AtQ subframe collars since it was up in the lift.

Pretty easy straight foward jobs.

Impact drivers and good ratchets are a must.

That drivers side front nut on the rear sway was the worst part.

Click turn click turn, repeat 65 times until loose. Lol.

Kinda wished i had a muffler delete and some mid pipes whike it was in the air.

Went to cars and coffee on Sunday, I was the only stinger there. I got a LOT of interest in the car and people wondering what it is, the power levels, comfort, daily drivability, stuff like that. also made friends with a kid who just bought a 2014 Merc S550 (The one with the de-tuned C63 engine) at 122k. He claims he has the money for repair bills when they happen, so if that's the case, then he picked up a hell of a comfortable car. it literally felt like riding in a cloud. Took him for a ride, and though I didn't track it with draggy, the car launched like a god damn rocket ship. the whole nose of the car rose like a boat. Easily felt like my fastest launch to date and well under 4 seconds to 60 on the butt timer. Scared the kid half to death because he was used to his car launching like a fast cloud haha

Im probably 1000 miles north of you in new England if you're in the VA area, so trust me, I love cars and coffee, but mine are not worth driving 1k miles for haha.

Today I worked on a mystery: why my TPMS system is comatose. Don't have an answer yet, but it's looking like something called a "TPMS sending module", something like that.

While at the dealership (waiting for the tech to bring my car back after attempting, fecklessly, to reset everything), I looked around at the Stingers on the lot. Very few, and possibly only previously owned. I saw a White and Black with the original GT wheels and KIA badge. Another original KIA badge Black had the refresh wheels, so probably a 2021. Then I noticed the two with the Scorpion spoiler, one White and a Micro Blue. What? I asked a salesman about that and he smiled and said, "The spoiler on the Blue is added." Possibly the White Scorpion was new, but I didn't have time to talk about it anymore. Maybe tomorrow I'll drive over and get a couple of pics.
