What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

With the snorkels, I'm doubtful at any speeds we'll be going. When I installed mine I was careful to note that the air box inlet is the same size as stock.
The stock pieces have turns and bends in them, the snorkels are straight through.
But you are correct that there is probably minimal “ram” effect unless you get over 100, but the grille probably interferes somewhat as well.

Sounds like a fun way to spend your afternoon. How long did it take you?
I took my time, but about 3 hours start to finish. The intercooler itself was less than an hour, it takes more time to remove and reinstall the bumper cover.

What a cool drain pan with the enclosed spout....

Not seen one like that before.

EDIT. Just bought one on Amazon.
:D

It's awesome, it makes pouring the old oil back into the empty oil containers a breeze.

I have one like that.
Think I got it either at Autozone or O’Reilly.

The one picture shows the restrictions in the stock exhaust.

After reading about backpressure this morning, I see those "pinches" in a different light: deliberately designed backpressure for the stock drivetrain. So, I'm predicting that you will have fun getting this exhaust system to interface. And yes, what is that "cylinder with no out"?

That's a helmholtz chamber to prevent drone. The dimensions are made to cancel out drone at a particular frequency. I had an aftermarket exhaust on my G8 without it and the drone was horrible. Shortly thereafter they updated their exhaust and sent out a new section including the chamber that got rid of the drone. It was like magic.

It’s like when you blow over a beer bottle and get that hum out of it. You can tune the wavelength of the hum based on the size of the inlet and the volume of the chamber. If you phase it out of sync with the wavelength you want to cancel, noise eliminated.

I had a class in college where the final involved calculating the helmholz frequency of a beer bottle given the dimensions of the bottle and how much beer was left in the bottle. hands down the most fun class I took.

I would enjoy preparing that lab.

I had the same car ( Australian version ), same problem, same solution and same regret of selling it.

The carbon fiber tips helped with cabin drone?
