What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

^^You sure it wasn't toe bolts?
Would those increase camber? If not, then I am sure he did not say "toe bolts".

Toe bolts usually increase toe adjustability. I suppose camber is related to toe and can change when toe changes (or is it the other way around?).

They are pretty different and while sort of related you wouldn't adjust toe to add + or - camber or vice versa you'd adjust them separately.

My wheel and tire guy said something about "camber nuts" and even had a brand name, which I have forgotten almost instantly. If someone here doesn't know about those/that, I'll have to call and ask him again, heh.
I believe someone is trying to get superpro to make up a kit but at this stage, nothing.

If your guy knows a way to make this camber adjustable, I'm all ears...

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I still say a camber plate would be the easiest way to accomplish this.

Could you elaborate on this please? What exactly is this "camber plate" doing; what would one that fits the Stinger look like and where is it fitted? Thanks.

Something like this that replaces the front struts' top hats. These are common on coilover suspension on cars with mcpherson setups. you loosen the 4 allen screws and you can move the top pickup point for the strut inward or outward changing the camber.

Note that the ones pictured also allow you to clock the adjustment plane so you could also adjust caster somewhat as well.

Thanks. We're getting closer. Not being a car guy, I can't picture how those go on the car. :P

Agreed, the plates would be the easiest solution otherwise you'd need two lower adjustable arms or ball joints.

A note pad and pen in the back pocket will help with that forgetfulness. Gezz I had something else for you but can’t remember what it was. Anyway the pad n pen will help ya.

Camber plates would replace the part I highlighted in green here: Screenshot 2021-12-05 192932.webp
Those mount up to the chassis and it's 3 mounting screws can be seen here:

This is under some foam rubber in the engine compartment. pictured is the Passenger Side next to the Fuse box.

Thanks! I am educated now. The question is, do these exist for the Stinger? Others have said there are no aftermarket camber adjustment options for the Stinger, so, I am not hopeful.

they exist on some aftermarket coilovers but nothing that's sold separately to fit on the OEM struts

SuperProUSA pointed me in this direction:

“We do not have anything that addresses static camber in the front end at this time. We do however have a caster adjustable strut rod/radius arm bushing set. This kit will allow you to increase positive caster which will in turn offer the benefit of dynamic camber gain - the more steering angle you dial in the more both wheels will lean or camber into the corner. That kit is our SPF5243K. https://superprousa.com/products/spf5243k-strut-bar-to-chassis-mount-bush-kit-caster-adjustable

I’m pending an answer to “How much caster is gained through the steering angle based on how much caster is dialed in?”

Note that the Stinger is not listed as an application for this part, but I’m assured it’s a pending update to the US website and the Aussie website lists it.

Got my winter wheels on today and my first oil change from actually driving the vehicle...

I have to say, I really like the black lug nuts I got from Kia for these rims, they are flush and recessed, look a lot better than the stock chromed ones

oSWzwVM.jpg
Part number for the black lug nuts from Kia?

Do black wheel locks also exist?

I'll check for you. I bought them from the dealer directly. I'm planning on using them on the summer rims too (although they are covered by a cap). They are recessed into the screw cavity.

Not sure about black wheel locks. The ones from Kia are chrome.

I wired in my own brake snip mod. Got a spare fuse cover and mounted a push switch into the stop lamp fuse circuit.

Thanks @DeltaV you saved me looking it up for Merlin. This is the product we have on a group buy down here.

So, does that mean you have the bushing set installed? What impact do you see on camber over the swing and at what caster settings?
