That's pretty hot actually... not gonna lie...Kia designed this E logo to show what the Stinger represents: Engineered by Excellence, Exclusive, Exquisite, Evolutionary
Ugh...more power to ya!Drove it. Coming from Subaru, pretty impressed with the AWD. Also, finally tried ECO mode and MPG went up from 17 to about 24.
Hey half done is better than none! I had seen your post asking how much of a pain it was, so congrats at going at it.Spent about 5(7 with a trip to autozone and home depot) hours messing with swapping out springs. Rears were easy enough. The fronts are a huge PITA with it being AWD. Depending on how my back is feeling, I might finish it tomorrow haha. It's been really crappy weather so I'm not missing not having my car as I usually don't drive it much in crap weather. I just need to get it put back together, put on some miles until springs settle and then get an alignment. I will have to find a place that can do an alignment with the new lowered ride.
I love using ecomode on the highways and toll-roads but it is so powerless and weak during normal everyday driving... even comfort barely has any kick when trying to move at lower speeds...Drove it. Have you tried Smart mode?I love using ecomode on the highways and toll-roads but it is so powerless and weak during normal everyday driving... even comfort barely has any kick when trying to move at lower speeds...
I don't find this to be the case. Sure it actually is, but if you give it a bit more than a soft push it goes better than an average 6cyl. car would go.. compared to sport mode it's noticable but not slow, just softer, needing a bit more push on the throttle and she'll kick down and go.I love using ecomode on the highways and toll-roads but it is so powerless and weak during normal everyday driving... even comfort barely has any kick when trying to move at lower speeds...
I alternate between Custom and Smart; Smart is a bit like "auto Custom", in that the car takes control of which drive mode you require based on what your go pedal is doing: the manual says that aggressive cornering will also engage Sport mode, when in Smart mode, but I guess I'm not that aggressive: the only time Smart moves to Sport, for me so far, is when I engage the kickdown switch; and even then, only for a couple of seconds, i.e. as soon as I back off the kickdown switch, Smart moves to Comfort mode.I guess I will try the Smart Mode or learn more about the Comfort Mode... or how to use the Eco Mode better...
What I do is normally drive in Sport Mode but manually shift to keep the RPM's a bit lower for better fuel-economy or to not be as loud... it's only slightly less fuel economy than leaving it alone in Comfort or Eco...
Thanks for the tips though!![]()
even in the summer time I couldn't get anywhere near 30mpg and I drive min. 75% of the milage on hwy., even in eco mode. Maybe 28mpg with all hyw. long trip... driving at 65mph steady... the trip computer thingy saiys 29mpg-ish, but when refilling and doing the math, Aaahh No.Smart mode on trips to Hilton Head(South Carolina Coast) and Sport for around town driving. Get up to 31 mpg in Smart mode.
Im pretty sure as you go thru modes suspension and steering feel change. I could be wrong.I have a GT not a GT1 or GT2 or GTS... I can only adjust throttle and sound... not suspension... :/
The gt trim doesn't have adaptive dampers. Everything else yes.Im pretty sure as you go thru modes suspension and steering feel change. I could be wrong.
Thanks for the info! The gt trim doesn't have adaptive dampers. Everything else yes.
