What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

This bumper is HUGE... That's why I love my beater wagon. In it's previous life this bumper used to be black lol IMG_20200702_192852.jpg

Lol is that for every dealer?
This was from the official kia dealers, iirc.

Unless you have good friends around the dealership then its' like that in Europe pretty much yeah. I have an aftermarket exhaust & lowering springs but thats' only possible cause the warranty guy is a friend.. Did you take the JB4 off prior to service?
I have not gotten to the service miles yet, but asked before it was time.
This is also a reason for not putting in the odbc-cable for the jb4 in, because its "alot of work" taking it out and putting it back every 10000 km.

Im not sure how their stance is on the bms air intakes, thats toooo much hassle to change back and forth

A polish guy on one of the Facebook groups said that even aftermarket intakes were disallowed by his dealership, because the standards are same for all EU countries I presume that would be the case with those too. Did the dealership install the intakes? I think one way to get them to be more relaxed about things like intakes and spark plugs is if you have the dealership install them. Come up with a silly excuse like that you want your cars turbo sound to be a bit 'wooshier' or whatever.

Today I managed to be in exactly the right place, at exactly the right time, to take a rock to the windshield. It left about a 1 inch chip in the middle of the windshield under the rear view mirror. Not a good start to the 3 day weekend.:(

My girlfriend's Jeep just got a nasty bullseye last week. I tried one of those Permatex brand windshield repair kits that AutoZone sells and it actually worked surprisingly well. It's probably 90% invisible now. I was most worried about just stopping it from extending further, but she's so happy with the final result she isn't even bothering with new glass. Maybe give that a shot.

Over the last several weeks I've done or had done:
  • Professional paint correction and full ceramic coat
  • Applied forum-inspired bespoke visor warning label covers
  • Self-installed Kilmat in the battery / spare area to cut down on noise
  • Custom shop installed AEM intakes, Eibach front and rear sways and Stillen catback exhaust with Akrapovic tips
  • Added an Undertag silicone license plate frame to silence rattles and protect the paint

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

Great job on all of these mods. Thanks for the ideas, as I'm going to pickup some Kilmat and some silicone licence plate frames as well.

Looks great !! maybe consider doing the noise mat under your rear seat as well , I found it made a big difference to road noise PLUS increased the quality of the onboard audio !

Bought one of those license plate frames (just an all black one) to replace the dealership one that came with the car. No complaints.

Called out of work today for an extended holiday break and decided to wash my car. After still seeing the "stamped" letters in the back of my car from the dealership emblem, I decided to reach out to Kia to see if they can somehow work with me / the dealership to address it. I don't have much hope, but figured it was worth a shot. Looked through my paperwork and also remembered that my dealership tossed in "Paintless dent removal" so may try that route as well, although there is probably some fine print that says any emblem removal that wasn't blessed by the plan administrator voids the service contract...

Regarding the vanity on the driver side, do you have to remove the plastic stock and put the new one? Or you put the aluminum over the stock plastic one?
