What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Not sure why he'd only get half a body panel covered, but that price doesn't seem out of whack to me.
I paid $2k (lots more covered obviously).
PPF ain't cheap. If it's too cheap, make sure it's not a homeless guy with a roll of saran wrap.

it's called a partial front installation. covers the most vulnerable areas.

20191017_112057.webp I finished putting ceramic on the car and added a little a license plate decoration that the wife got me.

Per robz32 request here are the photos. Looks good and very shiney but I dont see any drastic change in the depth that people talk about. Two layers of carpro UK 3.0 topped off with reload and will probably ad some bead maker in the future. Thought about going down the ppf path but chose not to.20191017_135435.webp 20191017_135454.webp 20191017_135435.webp 20191017_135454.webp 20191017_135513.webp 20191017_135612.webp 20191017_135622.webp 20191017_135513.webp

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The depth improvement is attributed to the paint correction/prep work done prior to applying the coating.

Newbie at the da. I guess I get to try again in one to two years.

Looks glorious now; only PPF will protect at all. So, enjoy the pristine, flawless paint while you can.

ouch? that's very reasonable here in the dallas area. it's actually the same price i paid back in 2007 for the same thing on my vette. one quote i got yesterday was $995. i jumped at $700.

Yes, I got quoted $995 in Houston for just partial front no headlights.

just partial front no headlights

...and you would want
  • all black chrome incl. the mirrors, the
  • A-pillars, the
  • chrome on the side vents and the
  • front sensor panel with the camera
covered at the same time.

For good measure, You could even add the B-pillars to protect the black piano finish.

What the wife bought you a roll of tape. Are you sure you didn't misunderstand her intent.
Hahahahahhaha. Funny. I'm a big soccer person been playing my whole life. We go to a tone of atlanta united games. I hate stickers, magnets or pretty much anything else on a car and prefer the plane sleek look. She thought I would enjoy the license plate frame. As a plus it mates the car.

I got quotes for 1300 partial and full front about 2,000 in atlanta area. I really wanted to get the ppf but i did not want a partial and see a line anywhere. Plus everyone I talked to said it was best to have it pulled off in 5 years and reaplied. I keep my cars a long time and just couldn't think about doing that 2 or three times over the life of the car.

After proof reading this before posting I realize it sounds like I'm still trying to justify to myself not doing it. O well. Its survived 5,500 miles over 6 months with out many problems but I'm sure it will get hit tomorrow by a rock. At least its protected from bird bombs.

Took it for 60 mile joyride down the parkway to a casino resort in Atlantic City overnight. Wife and celebrated nine years together. Just also had to take a sweet snap of the Stinger

That is a "sweet snap"; worthy of the 2020 calendar contest.

Had a fun day with the Stinger - this morning I transported a large lake map I made to be packed and shipped at UPS. Fit better in there than it did in my Xterra.

This afternoon, a supercharged Z71 Camaro pulled behind me at a stop sign near my house so I floored it and showed him what this thing could do. He could keep up on the straights, but I lost him in the corners. Going the speed limit of course :-). As we neared a 4-lane Highway, he flagged me to stop as he wanted to talk. Nice guy and he absolutely loved the Stinger - said it was the first one he’s seen around here. He’s hoping to trade in his Infiniti Q50 for one after seeing this one up close.
