What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Earlier this week I did a full detail.

1. Dawn dish soap to remove old wax and grease.
2. Mother’s Speed Clay 2.0
3. Wash car with normal car wash soap and dry.
4. Griots garage perfecting cream on porter cable polisher
5. Griots garage finishing cream on the polisher again
6. Detail spray to remove any residue from the polishes.
7. Mothers CMX

Then today I installed Denso plugs and a Racechip GTS w/Bluetooth that I got off of Wayne L here in the forum. Really digging the extra power.

I washed my car with an ounce of ONR (Optimum No Rinse) in a two gallon bucket of distilled water; six terrycloth hand towels (my usual number, one for each of c. one-sixth of the car): the wash went as normal; but the after effect seems to have more luster; the glass is cleaner; and the solution is definitely a cleaner, because I could rub a speck of road tar away (couldn't do that with just straight soft water before). Now, can I get the same result with using just one gallon of water and half an ounce of ONR?

Beautiful color awesome choice but if you have detailing knowledge you will never clay only your car you have to polish the car after unless you don't mild swirls and fine scratches on your paint. Also no one uses Dawn any more in the detailing world there is Gyeon Prep or Car pro Eraser which work exquisitely well.

I also added a license plate frame to the back. I know Perrin Performance only does Subaru performance parts, but it is my last name so I had to add it.

Thanks! I did not do the actual painting, my friend Andres did that. He spent about 2 hours painting, taking his time. I did the prep though.
Washed/cleaned them off the car and used the leaf blower to dry them. Then used rubbing alcohol to prep the surface making sure no residue was left. I did not mask them off at all.

At Andre’s advice we used wheel paint I bought from Advanced Auto. I went with a flat black. He then topped the paint with a wheel paint clear coat. I am amazed at how well they came out. I originally saw the GT wheels painted black on Andre’s car, and loved how they looked on the red. So I had to have it on my Micro Blue.



I plan to try my hand at ceramic coating them before I put them into storage for the winter.

Iv'e also purchased the M&S front and side splitters.Others have also advised for me to get the mud flaps, I see you have all of them on your car.
Looks good, did you have to take much off the side splitters for them to fit behind the mud flaps ?
