What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Snow foam, + hand wash, + vacuum etc on Friday afternoon. Drive to work Saturday morning leaving it shiny and sparkling in the car park, away from trees etc, partially covered (we don’t have fully covered parking for staff cars so the rear 1/4 is exposed). Saturday night at the end of shift come to find it covered in a fine layer of dust from the construction site next door. Not really noticeable unless you’re up close but noticeable enough to annoy the crap out of me.
Yes the dark colours tend to show the dust. I normally I get 3 days out of a wash.

Time to employ the Cali duster! All better. :D

We have a work-site across the road at home (a house knocked down, three villas going up to replace it).

I feel your pain.

Only issue with dusters is they are impregnated with a light oil to collect the dust. Everytime i used one it left a residue of oil plus the fact the dust on the duster could scratch the paint and give swirl marks.

Use mine nearly every second day with no issues. Just don't wipe glass areas with it.

How much work is plasti-dip? For instance, how long did that take you? And it peels right off? Does it damage paint?

Check the link for more details and to see my masking. Plasti Dip is very similar to paint - all about proper prep, clean surfaces and masking. Spraying is recommended to use “wet overlapping coats”, which is a little different than the multiple thin coats you would do with paint. My masking took about 1.5-2 hours, then spraying was 4 coats black and one coat glossifier with about 12 mins in between to set. Yes - it peels right off if you don’t like it with no damage to paint. Just spray it thick enough so that it has some heft to pull on when peeling. I looked at Dip Your Car videos (YouTube and website) - lots of cool tips and products.

Not my cuppa tea , But certainly different and original...and if you get sick of it just peel off :)
