What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Just dropped her off for her 18K mile service. She is only going to be gone a few hours and I am already fretting without her sitting in the parking lot at work...

They gave me a pretty nice and loaded 2019 Serento as a loaner. Though the seats are soooo different then what I am used to!

I did plugs yesterday myself. Denso IKH27

Did you had to take off the manifold to replace the trouble spark plugs or just use the trick that combine angel tool to get the passenger side plugs off. I want to change my plugs, but too afraid to message with the engine at the moment. I know there been several video on how to change it on YouTube, but watching is one thing, doing it is another.

I didn't have to take the manifold to take the trouble plugs out, but I chose to change all of my plugs and take the manifold off because I wanted to look inside the manifold to inspect my air valves.

Johnni if you were local I would do it for you for free and teach how to do it. You can do this bro just watch this video and take your time. If I became an engineer being a borderline idiot, anything is possible. I did this video 2 days ago. I also have a video doing the spark plugs without removing the manifold. Removing the manifold is easier if you are beginner and don't have that many tools.

If you need the instructions from Kia, send me a PM and I can send those to you.

I did this video just for you LOL JK

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

LOL believe or not I go every year to visit my wife family (Mother in law, brother in law etc.) They all live in Florida I also have family myself in Florida, my brother, Aunt and cousins in the Orlando Area.

I am going to Orlando next summer. If you need me then I can talk (Get permission) to the wife and help a brother out lol.

What part of Florida? How close from Orlando/Kissimmee area?

Good job Angel. Thx for doing that. Cheers

Thank You!

I try my best to help the Stinger community and encourage everyone to do their own work. You can save a lot of money in labor cost and learn a lot that will come in handy when working on cars. Especially when you have a sports car and want to modify them and also lower the cost of ownership of any car.

I also have videos installing WMI, intercooler, intakes etc... On my you tube channel. I am not a you tuber by any means, I just post DIY videos on the Stinger to help the community out.

You are close. My family is like 20 minutes away from Disney.
Well maybe if there is anything left to do LOL I don't think I can wait till next summer. Maybe just meet up for a drink. Injen is on its way as of today.

No pix yet, but I upgraded to slotted and drilled rotors w/ceramic pads.......it's a driveway job, 1st thing I did was remove a few ounces from the brake fluid reservoir(red plastic screen requires a special tool which I did not have).....I'll need another one of those....so will you. then it was simply doing one wheel at a time. The main point of this post is rust. There was quite a bit built up between the rotor and axle housing(s)...everything got a dose of neverseize before reinstalling the rotors. Follow the break in procedure after topping off the reservoir and it's an easy job.....brake performance had the rotors and pads with quick delivery props to them.....all told 457.00$ but I have better brakes now then before.

Out of curiosity why did you have to remove brake fluid before you swap rotors and pads? I've never heard of that before and done plenty of rotor/pad jobs over the years.

when upgrading, the pads were a bit thicker, so when you compress the piston the fluid displaced will not overflow out the reservoir. a few pix.IMG_0287.webp IMG_0286.webp

You said "PADS", before the edit; am I right about that?

This afternoon, since my mother was not gaining any benefit whatsoever from my visit (didn't believe a single consoling word out of my mouth; but rather got more annoyed, agitated and then scared minute by minute), I left her to the caregivers to sort out, came home and vacuumed and wiped down everything inside, finishing up with cleaning the inside of all the windows. Grandkids kicking the backs of my front seats had left a lot of ugly scuff marks. It's all back to (close to) like new.
