What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

I find it hard to believe that anyone would have told him that each instance of launch control required a dealer reset - but if so, a reasonably intelligent person would have asked why, as it makes no sense. He certainly didn't read it anywhere in the car's documentation.

Perhaps the sales manager or somebody else further up the food chain told him to give out that line to try and restrict people using that feature on test drives - either way, it's not true and my inclination is to walk away when I start hearing that kind of malarkey ...

Wouldn't price matter most in the grand scheme of things? If that salesman was the only one in the area that was going to give you $5000 off MSRP (when doing lease $8200 lease cash) would you really walk away just because he's giving you incorrect information?

I have a 2019 GT2 AWD and I haven't tried LC yet. The salesman was telling me when I was driving the car that you can only do launch control once before having to have the dealer reset it. I never heard anyone else mention that. What's up with that?
There was another report on the forum about this. It's rubbish!!

I was spying her from my office and I was surprised how awesome she looks from this angle and height.

I can't tell you how many times I've used LC so far and have never had to have anything "reset".

I popped something and I'm getting a P0100 error code and no boost. Boost builds, but it's venting somewhere prematurely.

Crap. Another case of literally "what did you DO to your Stinger today". Heh! Hopefully it is an easy fix!

Check the intake piping to the turbo and the intercooler piping to make sure they are not loose. It seem there is a pressure air leak somewhere on the piping. That is my educational guess from tuning and boosting Honda back in the day.

Yea I was hoping it would be one of the clamps/hoses easily accessible from the engine bay but no luck. I'll have to pop off the bumper this afternoon and have a look at the lower IC piping.

I kept my promise to myself that when the first dry day over 50F came, I'd be turning those hideous black scrapes and scratches back to Silky Silver. (Done, on this the last day of meteorological winter. Hah!) (Damned high curbs!!!)DSC07734.webp

Dry day over 50. I wish. Wanted to do a lot of testing and measuring before putting on an intake and midpipes. But the midpipes have been sitting in my garage for weeks now...

I’d be so pissed if that happened. One of my biggest pet peeves.

Absolutely the number one dreaded event in parking; the second being a close second: curb rash in any form. At least curb rash can be avoided easily enough by not pulling in too close. But high curbs or parking stanchions are made in hell. Even when you are sure that you have not pulled up too close they can bite you. I am becoming a fan of backing in, every, time. But then I see diagonal parking and you can't readily back into those. The inner curbs of the city park loop are high enough to not only scrape the bottom fender paint off; they could destroy the splitter outright. I park a good foot and a half away most of the time. If I get any closer it is by mistake, and when I get out and see that I have come closer I usually mutter "words" to remember for next time.

I've been waiting literally all month for my chance to get rid of the black; so this has been in the back of my mind all that time. Now, I can rest!:D

Not on MY2018s. A lot of us contacted Kia long before the cars arrived in the US asking about it, and several people associated with KIA—even those employed by corporate—told me they could see no reason why we wouldn't get it since it was available on the Cadenza, but nonetheless, they cheaped out on us.

Do I sound bitter? Naaaaah.

Would have saved my rims from curb rash; but wouldn't have saved them from the last calamity: a botched placement of my car in the guide at an automated car wash (for which I have been compensated). Nothing is certain.

I'm sure I already posted it here, but I still managed to mark up a rear wheel, because when switching from reverse to drive, the "buttons" to change view did not appear on the screen as they normally should, and it was only showing the front camera. Plus I had a car waiting to pass behind me.
