How do you like the matte black as-is for the M&S stuff?
It’s nice. Gloss black would be ideal.... but no way it would not get scratched up. I’m ok with it.How do you like the matte black as-is for the M&S stuff?
Nothing....mine is still in shop (day number 5) with wiring harness recall. Sadness
Maybe because I have 16000 miles over bumpy mountain roads? Maybe harness damage? Not sure.5 Days?? What are they doing, creating the new harness and/or grommet from scratch? Mine took a few hours during a scheduled oil change.
My guess is they did not have any recall kits, and had to order it. I feel for you, I know how hard it is to go without your Stinger even for 1 day let alone 5+.Maybe because I have 16000 miles over bumpy mountain roads? Maybe harness damage? Not sure.
Yup setup appointment 2 weeks in advance and was told everything was ready to go when I checked in. Totally supportive of guys doing work in Service. Just not seeing results yet. Im onto second KIA dealer in 6 months. First dealer lost their certification to do engine work - that sort of scared me so switched dealers. Hearing the current dealer just lost two mechanics to a another marquee dealer in area.Made appointment 2 weeks in advance with KIA dealership for the harness recall and oil change (not where I bought my Stinger ... they suck). Talked to the service department to make sure they had the grommet for the harness fix ... they did. Oil change and wire harness done in 4 hours. Due for the hatch rattle fix which was not a recall ... my mechanic (Seth) at KIA said my Stinger was on the list for that. Seth rocks ... likes to talk. Stay on it, hold your ground, educated phone calls will often expedite your Sting being serviced. Above all, be nice.![]()
Thanks for tip! Been in touch daily. Answers so far haven’t been too encouraging.
Armor plate.Tried something with the side skirts today, really like it actually![]()
Hit 15000 miles; over two months short of one year into the lease. Clearly, leasing was not the way to go for someone who can resist driving this lovely beast.(So it's a good thing I did the lease buyout.)

And then c. 20 miles later, I arrived home and the UPS truck pulled up and dropped of this.

It doesn't look too bad for having arrived rolled up inside a c. 8" wide box.As we are below freezing currently, it may be a few days before the crinkles straighten out.
You CAN resist, I see.Merlin, I just hit 5 k miles and have had her since April![]()
