What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Lousy pic, but installed the hitch mount for my bike rack today. Not a job for the faint of heart; aside from the bumper coming off, my hitch needed some grinding on attachment points for bolts to line up (as did the guy that posted a how-to, thank you!).

Catching up on a few other things from days past, car's got Eibachs, M&S spoiler, tint, JB4, and a sub in the trunk.

that's going to be attached to the rear of your car permanently?

Not the rack itself, but the hitch will be. The hitch mounts to the frame over the exhaust, so the chance I'm ever taking it off is slim . But the rack comes off in two seconds so I can switch it between cars.

Here's (another) lousy pic showing the receiver. It looks way more obvious in this pic than it does in person .

Is that like a hitch for a towbar too?

Did you use their high heat coating?

This guy did, and WOW!

I don't think regular Cerakote will last long term vs. high heat. Some of the header manufactures for LS engines use Cerakote on their parts. They look good but after a year or two they're back to being regular ole burned up stainless steel.

Read that Cerakote can withstand up to 500 degrees F, and the tips are double-walled so I doubt the external surface would reach high temps as the plastic diffuser/shroud it’s mounted onto would start to melt. Many motorbikes have their exhaust pipes and mufflers Cerakoted and those would see higher temps, as with firearms and barrels. Will monitor nonetheless and if there’s any wear, will be a reason to coat in another colour!

Got some red valve caps.
Where's the pic showing them ON? (I use "chromies" from my van; a bit of nostalgia and they do look good)

Took my dog to the park. Forgot she has fur. Dammit. Everywhere inside now.

At least I got to walk back to this sexy arse...

It's funny you mention the Stingers back end looking all sexy. Read somewhere in these here forums where someone said he didnt like how the back looks. I read that and was like what?

Oh, and shedding is why my dog is a shedless breed.

I'm thankful that my dog is only 16" high and fits perfectly in the hatch. Still have to deal with slobber all over the window, though.

I have 4 dogs, the Stinger is a dog free zone. Somewhere amongst their hair are dogs. Long haired Chihuahua X Papillon. Or as you American breeders have named them Papchi's. 20190108_162911.webp
