What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

I am just wonder why a lot of the Stinger family here had put on a lot of wheel brand, but I have not seem any with a VOLK Racing rims. I guess I am the only one to have a VOLK racing rims on a Stinger. I know its a JDM things and not KDM, but hey I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I still looking to take some picture of my car and post...if anyone is wonder I have the VOLK GT-F two pieces rims, Gold inside and polish on the lip.

I bought it! 2019 GT2 AWD Ceramic Silver /w red interior

On order is K&N intake, RaceChip GTS tuner, SSR Downpipes, Eibach lowering springs, and some random cosmetic stuff. I'll pickup some new wheels in the spring, leaning towards the Stance SF07's.

Finaly after days of rain and crappy weather here in Northern Virginia, we now have some sun and temps in the upper 60's. Sooo time to give my babe a good bath and detail. I even cleaned and detailed the engine compartment. She sure is a beauty when all shiny!







I can not wait to show her off to the in-laws once they arrive. My brother-in-law is also a car guy, and drives a really nice Corvette. To bad he is not driving that in from Florida.

Oh, duh (smacks head): late evening loss of attention; you RHD folks are not going to get the aluminum plate to fit without serious modifying of the upper left corner. I totally forgot about the inward curve of the driveshaft tunnel. It's obvious in your pic. The upper left corner will have to be trimmed away. Is it worth the bother? Maybe, especially if you're handy with machine shop environment or know somebody who is.

It’s because the metal trip dead pedal is a generic Kia parts bin part. Not specific to the stinger at all.

And to create a custom one to accommodate the drive shaft tunnel curves for RHD would cost money.

These are rectangular and self adhesive and also smaller than our AUS black plastic pad but I believe it would not look out of place. Our pad is 4mm taller and about 1.5mm wider (at the bottom). Position it at the base of the pad and sure there will be a gap at the top but as its so high up and dark under there it shouldn't be noticable. I can also live with a very small gap against the transmission tunnel. It may require slight modification around the sticky part or additional 3M tape.
I'm going to order one and see how it goes. Will wait a day or so for feedback and if anyone else wants to get on board @Stinger GT SS @Coast GT @FitR6 @Ozstung @AV8R @DCBStingerGT

Bedsides I spent money and rang the UK Kia dealerships and they don’t have them either.

Is the price shown AUD or USD? For $11 I’d be interested but will it fit width wise near the top due to the kink in ours? I don’t care so much about it being short st the top as you said nobody can see it but if it needs to be offset to the right to avoid the kink then I’m not sure I’d like the overhang off the side

Price is USD so about $15 AU. Yes, the width will fit as it's smaller so the right hand side of the pad will line up perfectly but, as stated, there will be a small gap on left side.

Today I got these things installed: Splash guards, E badge replacement for KIA badge on the front and back, E badged wheel center caps replacing the KIA center caps. They are also going to replace my stereo to fix the fading and the problem with the centering of the music moving to the back. And they checked my car out in compliance with the recall on wiring harness near the front bumper that is causing problems. It's not having any issues but they are still required to put something in there to avoid issues in the future.

Other than that, it was a slow day ;-)

Received & fitted Magnetic Sunshades to the rear door windows today, the set also comes with 2 x front halves & I have chosen not to fit these as yet.
Increased privacy & sun glare reduction, wind & noise is greatly reduced when the rear windows down a few inches & no bugs can fly in.

Lucky you, it's freezing here, 15 degrees, I don't know what's happening to our summer. We get two days stinking hot at nearly 40 degrees and next day it plummets.The wind lately, is a major pain the arse,I'm constantly picking up my lighted reindeer that have been blown over.

Well you are on the Southern Ocean, each time I've been there its been very windy and cold. That 'ill teach you for not livinf in the premier state.
