Yes, I always thought stingerforum decals were happening.Looking good @Stinger GT SS , one of a kind, will never happen , but if i were to see your Stinger on the road, at least i know it's you, still would like stingerforum decals to identify local members on the road, seems like it may not happen ?
Just catching up, so, are you painting or vinyl wrapping the roof portion that is still white?100% Carbon Fiber Hatch, Decklid, Rear Diffuser, Front Chin Splitter and Hood w/ fully functioning extraction vents that have removeable tray/plate to divert water to sides of engine bay.
'll now post the Carbon Fiber pieces that the owner of the company posted on his car and pics of newly opened shipment.
How'd you do it? I started hearing the noise this weekend. The car only has 1200km on the speedoFinally fixed my dang trunk rattle. 5 minutes, $4. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier. Lol. Next up is probably some sound deadening for the trunk.
Details, please? WHAT did you do? (I think that GT2 automatic hatch lids and our manual lids, are differing propositions; I don't have a rattle, but I am sort of just waiting for one, after reading all these stories: and yet, I think that most Stinger's do not have hatch rattle issues, but we get to read about them as if common here; they are more common than paint issues, other than the Yellows of course; or else Kia would not have put out a TSB on them.)Finally fixed my dang trunk rattle. 5 minutes, $4. Mine didn't have any washers and I could only fit 1 thin washer. Anymore and the trunk wouldn't close. It did fix the rattle though.Sure. Pick up a T40 Torx bit (40 is the size, T = Torx, 6 point star). It'll be like $2.00. Open your trunk, and locate the bumper stopper in the trunk lid. It's the "M" shaped piece on either the left or right side with 2 bolts holding it in, not the rubber twistable ones right under the bumper. Remove both bolts and uninstall the bumper stop. You should have 2 bolts, the rubber stopper, and either 2 or 4 washers. If you have 2 washers, the dealer didn't try to fix it. If you have 4, the dealer did the first fix, which ended up not being successful.
Take that washer into the store, use it as a comparison to the stock the store has. You're looking for neoprene washers, of the same diameter and hole size, but about 2x as thick. It's fine if they're a little larger in diameter, you'll notice that the cutout for the washers in the bumper stop is slightly oversized for the washers anyway. Grab 4 of those washers, I paid 40c each. Go back to your car, and reinstall the bumper stop, but place the new neoprene washer IN ADDITION to the existing 1 or 2 washers, and order them so that the neoprene washer is in contact with the metal of the car.
Tighten it back up, and go for a blissfully quiet test drive.
I had 2 metal washers in mine, though I'm thinking it would work just as well with 1 metal + 1 thicker neoprene. I chose neoprene over metal washers because they're flexible, so I could tighten or loosen the bolts as needed and still have full contact. So far so good.
As for the GT vs GT2 concern with the problem, it's related to the closed position of the trunk, so I don't think it really matters whether or not you have the automatic lift. It's the bumper shifting left to right and rattling, instead of up and down, which is why the side bumpers fix the problem.

So you took the Stinger badge off the back left side and put the larger Stinger badge over the KIA symbol on the back? How did you get the marks out when you took off the small Stinger badge? Edit: I kept reading and saw how. My badSo to continue on from yesterday’s post I finalised my rebadging today after what seemed like forever getting the excess glue off from the original badges. Even got the bad sunburn to prove it

That’s new, I don’t want them touching my dash cam.Took my Stinger in to service department to get rattles fixed and showed video recording of all three problems. Guy tells me he needs to hear for himself and I said "well you can hear the recording can't you That's hearing it yourself!" Am still waiting for the car to be finished. Been waiting 5 hours so far, and car was sitting for 3 hours in car park before they even took it in to look at. In reception area I see this on the counter.. . Is this so we don't record them doing nothing on our cars?

Surprisingly the small Stinger script didn’t leave any excess glue on the car so all I did was give it a buff with a microfiber cloth. As for moving the AWD badge, I think it would be better the way you’ve described, just makes things more symmetrical. Good luckSo you took the Stinger badge off the back left side and put the larger Stinger badge over the KIA symbol on the back? Looks great! I'd do the same thing, but in the back, I'd move the AWD badge that currently sits under the GT badge over to where the little Stinger badge currently sits. So big Stinger where you have it, GT where you have it, then AWD where little Stinger originally was. Thoughts?
