What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Finally.............. Idk, this is one of those things that when you finish, you're glad it's done and you like it better but then you realize all you went through to do it, definitely isn't worth.

Looks cleaner when tails are not on imo, which is what I wanted but the hassle, broken interior pieces, broken clips to get there, my goodness.........

Since I was getting a lot of bugs and leafs inside my air filter box, I decided to install some mesh on my air snorkels. Still not sure if that was a good idea. But will drive and see if it's gonna make things worse. Also , cut out the openings in my home made shield, for easy oil filter and drain plug access. Wont have to remove the whole thing, next time I change the oil.20231113_165307.jpg20231113_170617.webp20231113_170537.webp20231113_163015.jpg

I Fcukn love me some practical DIY, great job.
Especially those underbody panels, What made you replace those?

I hit a deep puddle during rain storm, and ripped both of them off. And just couldn't bring myself to spent $500+ on factory replacement.

Made the transition from an open to an LSD on my 2019 EU Stinger GT Line 2.0. Got it from a "frigid zone" area in Europe (UK) where the GT Line came standard with the LSD. It's supposed to have only 12k miles on it.
First impressions, the car rotates MUCH better from a standstill :D. I have the OEM 19" 255 pilot sport 4 so it was pretty hard to break traction before.

IMG_20231103_141218.webpDid brake flush, oil change, diff fluid change and installed coilovers. I have really liked this car for 2 years, but was always a little disappointed in on center steering feel. I think I found the problem. . .IMG_20231104_101602_01.jpg

Front right.

I bought this CPO and only I have driven it. I never had anything that could lead to this. Not going to pursue anything with the dealer, how do you prove it after 2 years? I'll just get a new one if I ever go back to stock.

Maybe that wasn't it, and maybe it's the stiffer springs and better damping or any number of things that change, but it is very direct in the steering now, no more feeling like it was "stuck" on center.

Definitely is stiffer, but with the dampers near the softer settings, not harsh. Overall, very happy.

Never seen that kind if damage before. Not even sure how it is possible! Maybe from hitting some major pothole? Which coilovers did you go with?

Yeah it is strange, the stock wheels, the strut, tie rod and control arm ball joints all looked fine. I honestly can't figure out how you'd do that.

I went with Ceika for the coilovers. I've never run them before, but so far so good, we'll see how they last. I have been in a track day e46 running them and they seemed pretty decent, and they do have the camber plate.
