What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Not today but a couple of days ago I revisited an idea that I loved but couldn't seem to get the way I wanted it.

It started with these 2.5" dumps a couple of years ago....

Then, since I just didn't think they looked right, I went to 3" round tips.

These kept me happy for a while but.....
My twisted, demented mind missed riding the crazy train so.......
I found a set of 3" dumps....

I don't expect 99% of the people on here to like these ( and that's fine ) but I lOVE em !
Changes the exhaust sound to a deeper snarl also ( which is a bonus ).

Yes, they get a bit hot being actual extensions to the exhaust ( not hot enough to do any damage to the plastic ) and yes they'll take flesh off your if you get too close, but I consider that an incentive not to get too close. :sneaky:

Just thought I'd share and maybe feed the inner crazy of a few people. ;):p
You do you buddy! Would look better if they were...wait for it...

haven't seen 'dumps' on a stinger before that's for sure. didn't even have that word in my vocabulary till now as applies to cars. I don't know, fattening them up improved the 'statement' somehow. I wouldn't do it under any imaginable circumstances but it is an interesting look.
Dumps are an old school thing usually seen on turbo's and rotary's.

The Jonny Tig single system for the Stinger has a hidden dump.

When I was younger I always built "sleepers" and loved the surprised looked on other's faces.

The Stinger however is kinda hard to make into a "sleeper", so I decided to go the other way.

Since I've had these 3" dumps on, as I look in the mirror at the lights, I see so many people pointing, discussing with confusion and often taking pics.
Most people who've spoken to me about the car have NO IDEA what it is and when I tell them it's a Kia Stinger they still look at my with a confused look.

I really don't do normal....

It annoys me that we didn't get those taillights on the 2018-2021 models over here. Those are 1000% better and they also match the front signals........ jealous.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I see. Yeah they do look a little plain compared to mine but I doubt I would have noticed if you didn't mention it.

Your stinger looks good and draws the eyes to other styling highlights and not the lights IMO.

I was actually gonna swap to the 2022 style light bar and then add the Korean spec sequential turn signals, which I like alot but I haven't figured out the light bar completely yet.

Too cold to mess with em until spring, which is still months away unfortunately:(

Didn't do anything necessarily but it's amazing how amazing my car is in the snow. We had about 15-20" of snow over a two day period. Handled everything like a champ. Not sure if it's the car or just the tires (Blizzaks) but it's AMAZING! Did I mention how amazing it is?
You’re giving me a sense of amazement here.

Got some goodies from Sal (Thank you sir!) Swapped out the black chrome side vents and mirror caps for gloss black. Only chrome left on the car is the front trim and I’ll probably get it wrapped after we move to FL in May. I also need some new summer tires. No more all seasons and “Extreme Conditions Maintenance” for us Synthedic oil changes every 3k is ridiculous…

Sweeet thanks man! Thank you for the agent hookup btw…Matt and Jessica are awesome! Yeah we’re still in the process of looking but we did put in a backup offer on a property in Sarasota. Won’t get it unless the other buyers financing falls through. Place went under contract an hour before we saw it. Sucks but there will be others. Just happy we can see the end of living in this crap ass state

Not sure what state you're coming from but FL is no picnic either. My Ma lives in Land O Lakes, which is outside of Tampa. So I've been down there plenty. There's some idiots down there for sure. But you get the hot weather and maybe you're fortunate to live somewhere inland enough to not have your place demolished by a hurricane. As much as I get sick of the cold/snow here in MN. Idk if I could get used to the idea of living down there. I'd love to be close to my Ma, especially with her getting older but idk?

Totally get it…Florida is not for everyone but we’re excited. We’re in Chicago so I don’t think I need to explain why we’re moving lol. Weather is actually a very small factor in our decision. To each his own I guess. Glad you’re happy in MN. I love the northern area of the state. Can’t beat the boundary waters for some camping, fishing and nice white water kayaking

I gotcha, weather would be the main reason I'd leave here. Oh and don't get me wrong, I didn't say I was happy in MN. Like Illinois, we don't usually get storms that destroy your house, unlike FL, although Tornadoes can basically occur everywhere and we do have em here also. Last year we had the worst hail I've seen in my adult life, only caused about 10k worth of damage to the Stinger :(

Never been that far North, Duluth was the furthest we've been. I stay for one week at my in-laws cabin and that's all the outdoors I need in my life. The Mrs, really wants to move down there and like I said, I would love to be closer to my Ma. Who knows, maybe once my son is done with college here, we may join you, my Ma and all those crazies down there in Florida, haha.

Im not super crazy, lil off but.... I hear you on the storm worries though. Its just a matter of being ready i guess. Only had to majors since being here. Irma 5yrs ago and then Ian the latest. Both were definitely unfun but we stayed for both. Heres a radar of Ian coming a shore relative to me. Obviously the blue dot is the house.

I've been getting my '22 GT2 ready to take out on a track this year and took care of a couple things this weekend...

The Mishimoto intercooler is a well engineered piece of art, looks great on the car and its changed the way the car accelerates, its smoother and the boost seems to hit a little later in the revs.

I went with Aodhan wheels in 18x8.5 +35 square setup with Falken Azenis 245/40 18 tires, they don't rub the front suspension but they're damn close. The wheels are much lighter than stock, the stock rear wheel+tire = 60.8 lbs while my new wheel+tire come in at 45.4 lbs. A pretty significant loss.

I've got a couple more mods to make and then I feel like it'll be in a good spot to take out for a track day.

Cool post! You might already be planning this but don't forget to swap your pads for something more aggressive and change out your brake fluid for some good Motul fluid.

Thanks, i was thinking around those same lines, i've swapped the pads for EBC yellowstuff and Motul is in my plans. Add some Eibach sways and a transmission oil cooler and I'll be set.
