Ready for next winter. Had 18" XIce3 Michelins mounted on FastCo FC04 (titanium finish) rims, with factory TPMS installed. The cost by making arrangements myself was about 700 less than the dealer quote for the exact same setup - and as the tires were purchased at Costco they have their excellent 5 year Road Hazard warranty, along with lifetime rotations, balancing, and flat repairs. Didn't hurt that they currently have a $70 Costco cash card thrown in as well ...

Bought the TPMS on Ebay from a S. Korea seller, and got the rims online from a Canadian supplier. Yes, it's a bit early in the year to be thinking of winters, but I saved some money and beat the mad rush in the late fall ...



Here's Fastco's visualizer for those rims on a Snow White Pearl Stinger. I like the Titanium as it nicely matches the black chrome - the black rims (also available) are visually too much of a black hole for me.

Had a BlackVue 750 2 channel dashcam and a Valentine 1 hardwired in my GT 2 RWD. Next month will have a K&N cold air intake and have my car Dyno before and after to check improvements.

After work, I installed the K&N CAI on my GT@. Now it is very whooshish.

Question, if I may: I gave it a 20 minute good spin trying out the CAI and I used launch control once. When I turnes the car off, the fan kept running for about 4-5 minutes. First time I noticed that. Has anyone else experienced the fan staying on so long after the car is turned off? It is warm out, 75-80 F. Thanks.

I paid more than what I’ve seen if you get it pre painted from the vendors offering that service. I haven’t seen any of theirs in person to say they don’t look just as good but I am happy with the outcome and worth the extra money to know the color would be spot on. It looks as though the car came with it.

Just curious, taken it to a several body shops around here and they are asking for $250-$350; nothing close to the pricing posted on the forums.

If you didn’t let the car cool down after running it like that then it was still hot. After running your turbos hard you should let it set and idle for a couple minutes. Not only is it hard on the motor to shut down when hot like that it can burn the oil in the turbos bearings due to the turbos being to hot. That is why most cars that are modded with turbos have a “turbo timer”.
