What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Do you think plasti dip or a wrap?
Wrap, it will last longer in those harsh Canadian winters of yours and its easily replaceable/fixable if it gets damaged.

It is finished. Ironically, my longest wait was for the payment office gal (helped by the service advisor), trying to get their registration of my car to go through with the state: I didn't ask what the fubar was, but, it was the state, so, go figure. I was probably waiting close on twenty minutes. :p

My car works perfectly again. Yay. (until the next time, may it be a long time coming, heh)

The biggest time sink about the whole thing was my having to go out and "drive around", trying to get the last two (of six or eight) "indicators" to come back online so that the emissions could be done: when you disconnect the battery or similar shutdown of the ECU to do work on the car, the entire system has to reconnect/calibrate? with the ECU and modules (of which there are 30 in the Stinger: how many of you knew that?). So, I drove to the airport and back - was told that that distance usually works, i.e., is long enough. Nope. So, I did an I-15, Bungler, 104th South loop: still no go. Back out and I extended the loop to 90th South: third time checking with the gizmo reader (it connects under the dash) still denied me : 87 miles of driving was not enough!? I went home to eat and then took my summer wheels and tires to Wheel Werks and had my new front Michelins put on and my winter setup stuffed in the hatch: back to Jerry Seiner, and voila! this time the indicators were all back (so, somewhere between 88 and 118 miles was enough) and I got my emissions and registration completed (with that little hitch/delay in our gitalong that I described already). During all of this driving around I managed six launches, and found my car's power fully restored.

Oh, and my windshield washers were plugged up (only putting out c. half volume and only reaching the lower half of the windshield). I need to use them more often to keep that from happening.

Here's the piece of news that is of general interest: since the start of 2022 (including my last oil change in January), Kia has been putting synthetic in. I've bumped my oil changes from every 4K miles to every 6K miles accordingly.

fyi, for most emissions sensors etc to be "ready" it usually isn't just miles driven, they have some very specific parameters and drive cycles to hit before they are ready.. every car is different and a quick google doesn't show a specific one for the stinger... but usually it requires some idleing, a cold start, "city driving" "highway driving" stop and go, turn off, don't have more than 70% fuel for evap cycle etc... I had to do some ridiculous things to get the emissions readiness on our bmw after our o2 sensor change... usually you will hit all the parameters doing normal driving over several days but to do it in one day, you have to do some odd things to hit all the necessary params.

^^^Interesting, how going home and turning the car off, then going back out across a bunch of surface roads, more freeway, then off and on again at the wheel shop, then back to the dealership, probably engaged those other parameters when my three attempts before, just more or less racking up miles mostly on the freeway and highway, didn't do the trick. Even at that, I was probably just lucky that all the parameters were actually met in a single day. Hah.

Today I just did the 110.000 km service. Nothing but oil and filters. Everything is still super solid.
The car feels better than when it was new.
Had some ups and downs in the past months, with bad tires and balancing issues, but now that it drives perfectly I just love it so much :)

Only a 55"? I got my 65" LG OLED about 5 years ago, still looks amazing.
Been eyeing the new 83"
55" is the most I can go with the current distance that I have between the TV and sofa. Nice, which OLED model do you have? I got the C1 which I believe released last year? One of the only TVs in the market that can support HDMI 2.1 (120hz @ 4k capabilities) Picture quality is jaw dropping compared to my last Samsung 4K.
I see that royal rice. I take the same
Haha, any chance you're Desi? Their quality is great and pretty clean too compared to other brands.
^^Secure the 83" on the roof?
Lol yeah I doubt the 83" would fit inside. Maybe without the box.

I just looked, had mine since 2015. Don't think they had C1, B1, etc. designations back then. It was model 65EF9500.
