What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Ah hell what happened? You ok?
We are fine, it was a yield left turn, we had stopped to wait our turn to go and the girl on her cell behind us though the light was green and went for it.

Only had the Stinger two weeks and had JUST got our other car back from the same body shop, like the day before. That car (Hyundai Sonata N-Line) took 4 months to get done. Between the Rona shut downs, parts shortage, labor shortage, the phase of the moon and plate tectonics it was a long wait.

At least this time they said 2 months not 4.. we will see.

I just want it back in time to do the Leavenworth Drive on Fathers Day with my son.

Ugh.... Im glad everyone is good at the end of the day thats the big one. Hopefully you get your ride back quickly. That way you can go back to building it.
I worry constantly about getting hit. Especially since my commute is 26mi each way. And all the snowbirds that seem to forget how to drive when they are here.

That's so sad, you're having an unbelievably bad run of luck. I hope you win the lottery or something to compensate.

Wish I didn't have to but premium gas prices went up another 70 cents in less than a week so I have regulated the Stinger to the garage while I drive my 2nd vehicle that takes unleaded gas. I'm not paying $5 per gallon for premium. I commute over 70 miles each day for work. That's a lot of gas.

And yes, I know it's more expensive in California and Hawaii lol.

And way freaking more expensive in Vancouver. I payed the equivalent of $7.76 (6.05 usd) per gallon the other day. On the bright side I don’t drive very much and with this gold in my tank I’ll probably drive even less. Weather is picking up so I’ll be able to heal toe it around.

You don't. If you read your manual it says "recommended". So nothing says you can't use regular.

I'm just waiting for the weather to get warmer and potholes filled then it's a 25km bike ride to work for me a couple days a week.

Recommended yes but will run like shit comparatively. At least to me.
I know with my daily trek i have no want to pull my uncle chip and run regular. I just gotta ease up on the useless running around on the weekends. Miss a few C&C and some meets and wait it out a while. Less parts buying too.
May just look for a turd beater to run to work every day. Might cry a lil in the process though.

Or....

Looks like the wife may have to start dancing to help with the gas bills.

Installed the front tow hook license plate and the tdi grille badge. Loving the look so far. Front sensors are going off with the new tow hook license plate installed. Anyway to disable the front sensors or would I have to drill new holes in the license plate to shift it over to the left ? Thanks stinger nation

I didn't have issues with the tow hook plate and my front parking sensor, but there is a lot of adjustability. Trial and error in plate placement should get it done.

Leave your wife out of this (just a recommendation). :P

What you are slipping into is a version of the last two years of covid isolation: now it's economic imposed immobility. And it's deliberate, which is the maddening aspect. Somebody has to get this cabal out of our backyard.

Nah...she knows im an idiot. The things ive said, just for the funny, to her. She just shakes her head and walks away. So im assuming you've not held a cucumber up and hollered across the store "this one too big for you?" For example

Yep trial and error in plate placement or just push the parking sensor button so the sensors go off while driving and put it back on for double parking or garage parking. Majority of my driving is highway with a little city here and there

Does your license plate sit flush to your car or a little out ? Not sure how to get it flush .34B4BE59-2FB0-4EAD-BA3B-D6C2D49FAE41.webp

Can't they just call you when they have the parts and let you drive the car in the interim?? Seems ridiculous to be without a car for 2 months for mostly cosmetic damage.
