@Bryan2.0, I did the same thing last week. Had my last car for six years and never damaged any of the wheels. Then I went and scraped one of the rims on my new Stinger.

@SteveCo, thanks for the information that repairing a rim rash isn't that difficult or expensive!

I looked into getting it repaired. Googled several companies found one with nothing but excellent reviews. Sent them an email with a photo. An hour later I get a quote for $125. Wow! So much better than a new rim.

I got a quote to have it repaired for $125. I think I may have gotten lucky on this one.

I'm up in the air on if I should go premium or GT1. Money is a little tight since I'm in the military, Lol. It will be replacing a 2011 VW CC. Had VW's all my life but the Stinger is too gorgeous to pass up.

I would look to see how much is the difference between the premium and gt1. If it’s only a few grand which it is around my way I would definitely go with the gt1. I have a gt2 and didn’t really want it I wanted a gt1 but the gt2 was available first and am happy with the car but gt1 would have save me a lot of money and I would have been just as happy really just wanted the engine. You have to know what u want from the car they are boths great cars I just wanted the v6. And I love VW too had a few GLI and some GTI before.

The base GT is like only $1500 more than the premium. Not as many creature features but it has the GT styling and that V6.

Good stuff! If you end up getting it repaired, post an 'after' picture as well so people can see how it looks. My experience has been you'll have to look at the tire for a refererence, to locate where the damage used to be ...
