What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

Took my Stinger back to the dealer today for the hatch rattle. They fixed it in about 25 minutes. The service guy loved how the Korean "Stinger" font badge looked on the back. Plus, gave me time to check out their yellow limited Stinger:

No doubt a cool car but just a little too much color for my daily driver!

Restrained myself from being a bat out of hell while driving:devil:

It can be painted.

I'm leaving it black to match the black and gray theme I'm going with (logo, license plate frame, tail lights, lower bumper, etc).

Gloss black would look sweet!

This is actually something I did last week. Since I was sent the wrong spoiler and wasn't sure I'd keep it I didn't bother posting it here. Over the last week it's grown on me (plus the seller gave me a 50% refund, which is icing on the cake).

Scotch tape holding it on here for test fitting. (Not Kroger brand, heh!)

Which spoiler is that? Looks great on the car. I'd gloss clear coat it to better match the other black on the back end.

Rattle fix was done in Friday and so far so good. Roads and bumps that caused the noise no longer upset my hatch. Put my large Stinger badge on Sunday for a good car weekend.

Rear Trunk Spoiler For 2017 2018 Kia Stinger | eBay

I originally planned to sand it down with some 2000 grit and then hit with some gloss clear coat and polishing compound.

But the wrong spoiler was delivered and I wasn't sure I wanted to keep it so all my plans went away. I may still do it one day.

Looks great! Doing the same to my Sunset Yellow. I ordered the Glossy Black Stinger emblem from Importshark which should be arriving possibly next week. I'll post pics when it's done.

Very nice and love the "blackout" look! I used to do 5% "Limo" tint on all my cars, but grew tired of having to lower my windows at night to see anything so I switched to 15%. With the factory 30% tint and my 15% on top I think it still looks pretty close to "blackout".;):thumbup:1E383FCE-E205-44CB-8778-9E7000D9D679.webp355F43A9-7808-4DF6-83D9-A7F2755A61C8.webp

I think the factory is 70%. Otherwise the 25% I put on mine would look like black paint.

Hopefully where you lived it is legal for 5% tint on driver and passenger, but in the Republic of California the headache of dealing with citation and fine overcome my wants of blackout...either way it does look nice black out.:ninja::whistle:

You're right and I mixed up my %. So now I'm curious what the 70%+15% transparency would actually equal for light blocked because it does look pretty blacked out.
Lol, I cant remember how to do the math on this but I know it cant be 30%+85% light blocked... Anyone still in school or know the the equation needed to figure this out?:p

I don't believe 5% is legal anywhere and most states minimum is around 30% for front windows. However, on my last 6 tinted cars I simply put my windows down at night or for traffic stops and never had a problem. Just prepare accordingly and it should never be an issue.

It is illegal...but very rarely enforced. So i dont much care. We also are required to have front plates but i dont have that on either. Lol. Tint and plates are the least of my problems. Taking speed limit signs as a mere suggestion is what’s going to get me!!
