What did you do to your Kia Stinger today?

So...I debadged with great success on the rear. Installed the gloss black stinger script with no ghosting or anything. Then came time for the front. Used same technique. Blow dryer and fishing line. This time it was a disaster. Paint peeled off with the KIA badge.

Besides repainting you could also consider a vinyl wrap, there are some very natural cut lines where a good wrapper could place white vinyl and integrate it around the top of the grill and headlights . In essence a bra that protects the front , lots of options in white color and texture , could really be unique and cool if done right , cheap and easy to try vs the paint shop , good luck !

My buddy suggested to that as well. I do already have a clear bra installed in the front however.

Maybe they can just wrap the badge area?

The issue is the front panel is made of plastic and the paint will come off easily that’s why I’m not doing it.

Maybe when removing the badge you need to lubricate the aera? Anyway what is done is done and the only remedee I see is repainting the bumber...

this really sucks. i hate to see this happen. the problem is a combination of both quotes above. i think the paint job is cheap and along with the material it's painted on being plastic, this can happen. it's so important to use the fishing line technique. saw off the glue and then use bug and tar remove to get the rest off. you cant pull the badge off. that's the problem. and making matters worse is the fact that some people do that and have no problem.

Has anyone found the best license plate frames for front and back on the Stinger (espcially if you're rebadging with the Stinger badge in the rear)? Car is ceramic grey and not thinking anything outside of chrome will look good. Let me know if anyone has come up with something ideal.

It's been fine, but seems like you want something a little different. I didn't think a black frame would look good on my Micro blue.

I left the GT and AWD on the back. There's always more stuff to get on eBay! I'm contemplating on the E airbag - that would be the last piece to remove all Kia logos. And I found something to cover up the airbag warning label on the sun visor.

I just found this shot I took a while back : carbon vinyl , quick easy and inexpensive quick fix to debadge , there are GT and Stinger overlays in development as well .
