Today has been momentous for Stinger owners in this thread. People taking delivery of new cars, going to car shows, and installing LAP3s. I, on the other hand have eclipsed you all by installing a black license plate frame. Beat that!

3.3 or 2.0? Which octane did you go with? Notice any issues with it while driving? I'm SERIOUSLY contemplating it but each time I read 5 positive things I read 2 negative and have a complete change of heart.

I bought it from the K5 Optima store. I ordered Thursday and received it today. I have the 2.0 and after installing this chip it’s a rocket. I am over 300 HP now with no ther mods. Waiting on an intake to be available then maybe exhaust. I can only imagine what the chip would be like if you have the 3.3.

I only get 93 octane so that’s the tune I went with. It is easy enough to change the setting if you get different gas. I haven’t put many miles on but for what I did drive today I’m nothing but ecstatic with the outcome. The second you hit the gas it just throws you back. It’s night and day from what it was. Zero turbo lag now.

I haven’t driven the car that much after the install yet to know for sure. The little I did drive MPG was down but mostly because I was flooring it a lot. From my understanding the chip does nothing to improve MPG.

Took it to Cars and Coffee in New Orleans this morning. Got there late but found some nice cars to hang out with.

Got a lot of questions about it and mainly positive comments. Heard a lot of “Oh that’s a Stinger” and “that’s a kia?”

The wheels in the picture are my 17" winters - direct fit aftermarket and take the OEM centre caps. The stock wheels are 18" as below.


The trade will have to wait a while until my loan comes down to match Hyundai's terrible resale values.

Thanks. When the '15s first came out I wasn't a fan, but the look obviously grew on me. Only real issue with the car is a perpetually squeaking pano roof.
