Wow again, and now you’re really confusing me... So you’re saying your boost is setup backwards and you have more boost in first gear than 2nd-8th?
I’m pretty sure stock Stingers don’t provide 100% boost in first gear. Kia did this for multiple reasons, from helping with traction(rwd) to protecting the drivetrain from excessive strain, but your saying Tork increased your boost to 22psi just in 1st? Makes sense why you have quicker 0-60s but that’s gotta be really tough on the trans/differential, etc.
And yes according to your mod list in the 1/4m thread(
Drag/Acceleration - The Official 1/4 mile track thread.)you have “more
mods” or comparable
mods to most other top Stingers. You did forget to include SSR DPs, and lightweight wheels above and hope that wasn’t on purpose, #hidemods JK JK
But yes just compared to Angel you also have an FMIC, full catback exhaust(vs deletes) & lightweight wheels. You also have higher launch RPM & hold more power between shifts vs a chip. Even with those advantages you still had slower traps, and the .1 quicker ET simply comes from your better launch & 60ft time.
Compared to STINGER & GetStung your different
mods almost wash each other out, but they still have 1-3mph faster traps which means noticeably more HP.
Yes Map 5 & 8 add UP TO +7 & +8psi but most Stingers run about 12psi not 14psi. Think 14psi is an exception to the norm and unfair to assume that as the baseline for most JB4 Stingers. I have yet to see JB4 dynos pushing over 20psi even with WMI. Xot1 recently shared WOT map8 runs and maxed at 18.5psi with a +7.5psi target boost. So maxing at +8 target would only hit 19psi which is still almost 4psi less than your max boost.
Don’t get me wrong and I mean no disrespect. I know ECU tunes have many advantages and will be needed for the fastest Stingers. And I agree you have very consistent 11sec runs so you still hold the record for quickest 0-60 & 1/4m times. I’m simply trying to keep the facts straight and show that ECU tunes & chips are more similar than different at this point. The reality is even with all the advantages you speak of from a full ECU tune it only adds up to a few hundredths of a second quicker ETs, but surprisingly slower trap speeds & HP vs the top JB4 Stingers.
I love following your progress and happy that you & Tork put our Stingers on the map, but it’s unnecessary to keep trying to show your tunes superiority vs others. Be happy with your #1 spot and just let others be happy constantly trying to catch you.
