[VENDOR][FS]: Kia Stinger - Aluminum Paddle Shifter Extensions - K8 Stinger Store

Cheap to replace however a lot of labor to replace as the entire steering wheel has to come apart from my understanding.
Nope, that is not the case at all. The steering wheel is extremely easy to remove as it is held on with just (1) main bolt. I only know this because I installed a Carbon Fiber Steering wheel for a buddy, and we were able to remove the airbag & steering wheel and reinstall it all within about 30 minutes or less. (This was with no prior experience and no professional assistance at all)

Well I stand corrected and was miss informed good to know.

OK, but does anyone make a solution that fixes the *actual problem* of wheel-mounted paddles by moving them to the column?

Shuffle-steer, folks, and expect the paddles to stay where they’re supposed to!

These are designed to go over your existing OEM paddle shifters.

As far as I know, there are currently no aftermarket solutions for creating a column-mounted paddle shifters for the Kia Stinger.

Yeah, I didn’t assume so. Much more engineering required.

Still, I can’t believe any automaker (and there are several) would presume people only change gears while driving straight.

If your hands are always between 1 & 5 and 7 & 9, why not always have the shift paddles there, too, where right is always up and left is always down.

Or does this look safe and comfortable?…

Does anyone have any good photos that show how these paddle shifters extensions attach to the stock paddles?

Has anyone thought, to alleviate the wheel-mounted paddle issue described above, to make the right (upshift) paddle green and the left (downshift) paddle red for easy and immediate identification?

We have an installation PDF available HERE. This PDF shows a detailed view of how the extensions attach to the stock paddle via the included screws. As far as I know, nobody has tried to use different colors to avoid confusion since they are only available in 1 color option per order.

I’ve never bothered using the supplied grub screws, just let the double sided tape do it’s job and it’s been on for 3 years just on with no issues.
Be mindful for those buying them that the paddles will not shift gear if activated towards the tips of the extensions.
The reason is they are too flexible but having said that they will work if pulled in at the centres.
