• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Utah Stingers

Figured I'd be what you wish the DIY videos would be like and just get you the answer.. No bloat commentary or video.. Just raw sound.. Thought about cutting out the rear rev's as I don't feel they give an accurate portrayal, but its there.
You got it installed, can't wait to hear it side by side. The youtube sounds fine, conflicted now.

Utah group, when we had the meet up a few spoke about the HKS M45il plugs. Does anyone know a shop out here that does good work? I was looking at doing it myself but not a fan of the location of the back two lol.

East Canyon is shown open.. Guessing Guardsman should be soon. About time for that meet and cruise!

@ryno5514 No clue on local install shops. Lemme know if you wanna catch a DG round sometime!

I had Quality Muffler in Draper put them in today. Mine was the first Stinger they worked on, but they figured it out. They charged $250, which was higher than I was hoping, but it took them more time than they estimated to get those back two out. Nice guys to work with, but I’m interested to hear if anyone has other recommendations.

My buddy who is one of the better car guys I know, just hate asking him to do stuff lol. I was able to pester him into recommending someone "it was hard for him" alexsauto haus he said did a tune for him. So going to see if they will work on Stingers.

Watching the Tork Motorsports video on this, you have to remove the manifold. He does not say if there is a gasket or not. It does not look too hard but a little more effort than I normally do to change spark plugs.

Might have to pick up a driver, mid and putter. Looks like a few new brands in town these days, have something new to figure out.

They said they would have no issues doing it and would help with an upgrade planning. This i like.

Any of you UT guys figure out a cell phone holder? Been trying to figure out what one to buy

I’m using a cell phone holder that fits in the cup holder right now, but I’ve been looking for something better.

Meet / cruise tomorrow?

If we get like 5+ or so we could pick a rendezvous - cruise some mountain roads - stop and grab a coffee/drink - cruise back.

Any interest?

I am down, I only have Golf up in midway on Sunday morning.

Wait I have something tomorrow morning until noon, just remembered.

Outside of that I am free as a bird.

A bit too hasty. Plan something a week out. I'm up for a drive on the Alpine Loop again! :D We could come into Big Cottonwood canyon through Guardsman pass, then lunch at The Silver Fork Lodge. Eat outside. Rendezvous at the mouth of Big Cottonwood, or make it simple and meet at the I-15 exit to Thanksgiving Point / Alpine: there are parking lots to choose from. :D

I just did Big Cottonwood the other day, it was great turned around at Guardsman pass peak. But love that full loop a lot, Silver Fork looks to be closed not sure how long until they reopen.

Has any other UT Stinger got updated intakes? I know one of us has K&N, I am still debating what one to get. AEM, BMS or Injen not able to see the data points I want on the other treads.

So any UT Stingers have different intakes?

I’ve got the K&N. They went in easy. The Injens look pretty, but some have had fitment issues. The BMS JB4/Intake package was tempting.

Did you keep the injen intakes? I think I am going to get the BMS but wanted to go Injen just trying to figure out UT heat soak

I was scared off of buying the Injen by some of the others on the forum. Stingergtandme had a nice YouTube video for installing the K&N, so that sold me. It sounds like they are all pretty equal on heat soak. I've been looking at snorkels, but it sounds like an after market intercooler will probably make the biggest difference.
