Used stinger broke down a day after buying!

Honestly the best thing I have done recently was get a pedal tuner, really smooths out the pedal response.

So the pedal tuner outweighs the drop Springs and the sway bars and the end links and the camber arms as "best thing" recently?:rofl::laugh:

Personally I think that Product you tested for me is the best thing

Technically...no a catback exhaust doesn't void your warranty. By law they need to prove whatever aftermarket change you made is the direct cause to a failure. That doesn't stop the dealership from trying to claim your aftermarket part is the cause...even if it's not. Since it's cat back...it doesn't effect any of the emissions components so you're good for smog checks.
A catback exhaust will not void warranty, nor will it fail a smog test. If you get rid of the cat's then you could fail smog, and Kia could raise a stink about it if something failed that could link to it.
3. No, it won't void your warranty.
Thanks all, just ordered the MBRP S4704AL. Hopefully it will make this car loud!
Also didnt know what a kickdown switch was. Thanks

Hopefully I can find a place to install it for a fair price, I've been quoted everywhere from 150-300 for the catback, so I'm not sure what is reasonable, what is good, and who is ripping me off.

How about free? Buy a set of ramps from Walmart, change out the exhaust, dust them off and return the ramps to Walmart. Save $150-300.

You will want to get exhaust tips from ali express or other site. I believe it is 63mm inlet and 105mm width outlet.
The stock tips very loosely slip over the stock exhaust system, they do not clamp down or really attach to aftermarket exhaust systems.
You can use the stock tips, but you will get a far amount of drone in the cabin at 2000-2500 rpms (so most all highway driving).
Hence why aftermarket tips that can be clamped down onto the pipe are highly preferred. There is options in chrome, black, and carbon fiber.

There is a forum user in classifieds that may still have some for sale: For Sale - 4 Exhaust tips $120 (63mm inlet 105mm outlet)

I dont like to play the "free tool rental" con, so would just keep the ramps; however, I agree to just do the exhaust yourself. No special tools needed, just sockets/wrenches to unbolt the old catback and install the new.

I don't know if I'd call it a "con." Walmart doesn't have a policy against returning used items. As long as it isn't damaged, returning it is totally within their return guidelines.

However, I prefer to add on to my tool collection, too, especially something like ramps that can be used many times over the life of many different vehicles.

You are using something for free, and then either Walmart eats the cost (and by that I mean their customers), or they pawn it off as "new" and someone else pays full price for used merchandise.
Either way you are cheating the system for your gain at someone else's loss.

It's not ethical though, which was boosted's point. Ethics and legality are two different things. I prefer to be ethical, others ramrod through life cutting every corner they can. I sleep well at night, they are typically disgusting human beings making numerous similarly bad choices resulting in chaos and dissatisfaction.

Then blame others/make excuses for the outcome of their bad choices.

The Donald Trumps of the world. And there are many. So sad!

Perhaps.

But he didn't ask about ethics. He asked about keeping down installation costs. Nothing costs less than free.

That's not cheating the system. That's playing by the rules provided on their receipts and website. Walmart has the ability to change their policy if they feel people are cheating their system. They haven't.

Cheating the system would be something like installing aftermarket turbos on a car, blowing the engine, replacing the turbos with stock units, and then using a warranty to replace the engine.

Shit's gone left. I don't even know what's being discussed anymore but I certainly have no interest in the political musings of anyone on a car forum.

Covfefe, bros!
