Has anyone in AU seen/heard/installed Unichip. I have seen a Facebook posting on Castle Hill Exhaust & Performance site that they achieved a 70kW RW increase & 180Nm torque increase without any changes to exhaust, intake, filters etc. just plug & play seems pretty impressive, if anyone has any experience with Unichip I would appreciate any comments.

Check Unichip Dynomotive on ING, you will find more info. I was told by other friend while doing Nasho runs in Sydney, and told their amazing result, check them out.

Thanks @PhillipYin, will do, welcome to the forum, do you have a Stinger, what colour, model etc.
Also can you put your general location in your Avatar.

Nice buy, it’s a great car, Kia bi-modal is OK, but it is expensive & only delivers noise, no power gains. I am waiting for more aftermarket/performance places develop a good sounding system with power gains. Unichip may give everything I want as well as sleeper quiet.

I have done a few dyno runs on Stinger before I go any further mods, and since the bi-modal is part of deal why not, and I am thinking de-catting now as the Kia really dead quiet...haha

You are located in Sydney? we should arrange a meet for a cruise..

Well if the exhaust is part of the deal that’s all good, no deals when I bought mine last Oct. full price all the way & exhaust wasn’t even ready.
We have already been on 3 runs/meets, last one was to Bathurst last month, 9 Stingers attended, it was a good day, check out the regional specific thread re: AU & also my wife follows the Kia GT Owners Club Australia on Facebook it’s a closed group you will have to register/apply to join.
There has been no news yet on a 4th run, it’s just a matter of who & how many are up for one.

yup, pick up my Stinger on 22/6/2018, Snow Perl White 3.3 GT located in Huntsville. so far Kia offered Bi-mod exhaust only.
You mean Hurstville?

I've been speaking with Unichip of late, apparently you are looking at about 300 / 310 rwkw with their exhaust and tune up from around 230rwkw. I'll probably go down and get them to take me for a spin in their test car and pass on some feedback

That would be good, they are in your neck of the woods, would be interested to get an unbiased/unsolicited opinion on the Unichip & it’s performance gains. I await your feedback with some interest.

No worries Stinger GT SS

I'm tossing up between the Unichip
The JB4 (which I previously owned on a BMW 335i)
and the local HPF flash tune straight to the ECU

I had my mind made up on the JB4 knowing how to use it already plus the great support and future R&D.
But I would prefer not to touch the plugs, besides the JB4 they claim no re-gapping of the plugs is required

No problem keep us posted on your decision.

I have just gone the JB4 and I am very happy . I'm staying on map 1 until I change/gap the plugs.

Like you said very helpful community with future R&D.

The Unichip sound great, but it's a plug, tune and then play
Cost your looking around 2k

Apparently there should be no spark plug issues with 98 octane.

Hi Terra

So you noticed decent gains on map 1 ? I'm really torn between the two.
They are similar systems but we can expect a lot more to come with the JB4. I wonder what sort of power can be reached with a E85 tune ;).
I also like the fact you can change maps of your phone, read and clear codes etc.
Did you buy the additional fuel control wires ?

Apparently there should be no spark plug issues with 98 octane.
Hi Jesse

Is that confirmed mate ? from what I understand on MAP 2 US 93 fuel (which is higher quality fuel than our 98) re-gapped or new plugs are required.
