This car is driving me insane!

PS: Just checked and front rotors + pads are 10.000 km old. Could my wheel problems and constant vibration for about 60% of that distance have caused the rotors to deform?
Nobody has used that term before to describe a faulty rotor simply from "vibration". I can't even picture what you are suggesting.

Sorry, meant "warp". Got lost in translation.
In any case, the EBC rep. told me to come by on Friday and they will fix any vibration under warranty.

Andrei - it looks like you had very similar issues as I am having right now.

Hoping new wheels fixes everything.

Did new rotors fix your vibration issue when braking?

They did fix the vibration but only temporarily. I then switched back to all OEM brakes and vibrations under braking were completely gone for good. I've done close to 20k km since.
I also have new wheels and tires and new lower front control arms bushings and the car is smooth and feels like on rails. Before changing the bushings there were moments when I felt it would transfer too much roughness into the steering wheel, especially under hard braking. But, my car has 137k km. If yours is below 100k km there should be no problems with bushings.

is it me? its really bad in sport mode, and not as bad in comfort mode.
but basically as im braking and the car is slowing and downshifting, it jerks you forward.. like not a smooth transition.
im not the smoothest driver but i dont think its me. the braking and downshifting together is abrupt, in the last two gears it shifts to before complete stop.

I think that's the engine braking they programmed into the deceleration(?). Cars have been doing that for a while.

indeed but its too aggressive at times , sends my wife into the dash ,,, lol

Yup I noticed this too with stock tcu. I'm running Lap3 tcu now and this doesn't happen anymore.

Exact same thing happens to me except add in some bumpy-ness that I have yet to pinpoint the culprit to after my little “incident”. Putting on new wheels this weekend let’s see how it changes things. I notice the jerk downshifting prior to the incident but not being paranoid about every little thing I notice it more lol

Try downshifting with the paddles and see if you can control it enough to notice a difference. Should be easy since you have manual gate (which I drive in 99% of the time, but I let the car do the downshifting 99% of the time: I do not experience what you just described: I do feel the downshifting points more in Sport mode than other modes, but not excessively).

this what I've been waiting for , how long have you been running the lap 3 tcu ?

Just 1 week. Got the tcu last week. I’m loving the tcu tune. Smooth shifts every driving mode. No jolts. Your wife’s face won’t go on the dashboard when decelerating lol

the only thing that I'm worried about is , when i reset my oem tcu it will shift super smooth as well until it completely re learns the shift points then it becomes harsh again . lets do a 200 mile check on this ,

What do you mean reset the oem tcu? The tcu tune has been reprogrammed/reflashed. So far I've logged 500 miles on the Lap3 tcu.

If you disconnect the battery for a few minutes, it will lose its adaptive settings, and will take a few miles to relearn your driving style.

Hmm thanks for that I'm gonna have to look into a upgraded TCU. Mine started to do that jerk after getting my diff and drive shaft replaced and ever since then it's been doing that and dealership did a drive test and said it was "Normal"

well guys , i decided to check the condition of the transmission fluid over the weekend in my rwd gt , i removed the trans pan/ filter and did a trans flush with the german ravenol sp4 rr fluid , the oem fluid was full and clean , some debris in the pan but id say normal amounts for the milage 25k
after driving after the procedure , the trans shifts silky smooth and no real harsh downshifts anymore , well not yet after a couple days , strange . right .
i did not reset the trans computer or perform any adaptions either .

I had my trans fluid and coolant flush done together at the dealership 3weeks ago because it was doing the weird shifts and after it was done I felt a better improvement but not 100% it feels like when coming to a stop the car kinda jerks and the stop isn't so smooth. I took it in last week for a check up on that and they still couldn't find out what the issue was and the tech did a transmission system relearn. And stated that it could help it.
