Things you would change...

Thought of another thing I'd change/ add: Lit up sill plates on the door jambs. The ones I had on my Optima were a nice touch. I could see them in the Stinger script, same as the rear emblem. Of course they'd have to be linked with the interior accent lighting so you could change the color...
youre starting to scare me now .........maybe a BMW what you should have bought .....................:eek::eek::eek::eek::)

I have them on my 15 Optima and it was only 35k. It’s not too much to expect

To me sometimes it’s the small things that make all the difference

lol...they were standard equipment on the Optima SXL in 2013. I thought they were a nice touch. I'm not usually into blingy appearance things like that so maybe I am getting soft in my old age. BMW nothing, I'm going right for an overstuffed Mercedes.

Bawaaa , a rolling chesterfield !

Now that I have driven the car for it's first 1000 miles, I have yet to become friends with the navigation system.
I find my portable Garmin units in comparison not perfect but a lot more intuitive - so far, I should add. :)
And why is there no allowance made for transferring saved coordinates and addresses from one system to the other? Garmin lets me copy the GPX file from one unit to the other and they are synced.
Change cars and start all over?
If that's inevitable, why not add input via Bluetooth/USB keybords. Let the passenger do it in a human way. Ever watch the passenger do it on the dash screen while the car is in motion?
Please correct me if I am wrong. :)

1. More masculine sounding horn
2. Fog Lights
3. CD player and music storage system
4. Higher grade carpet
5. Deeper exhaust note
6. Park would not be a button ! ( edit addition )
None of these would be deal breakers ( and werent ) I really love this car !

One of the on-line reviews I watched (sorry don't remember which one) featured a Stinger prepared for SEMA show and it had BORLA exhaust as well as searing orange paint. Wouldn't that be sweet, BORLA pipes.

Hey @westcoastGT!
1. Agree about the horn.
2. LED headlights are amazing; so I'm not missing fog lights.
3. I am actually glad KIA dropped the CD player. Never used the one on my Genesis. For music, I'm using my phone via Bluetooth, and have plugged in a 128 GB USB drive.

Here's one I'd add to the list:
7. Convert the USB charging port in the console below the dash into a second full-function USB port.

Here's a great USB drive for mass storage of music:

It would be nice if the G-meter on the GT2 marked the highest readings while you have it on screen. I'm always curious what I reach around certain corners but It's not exactly safe to stare at it while driving. Maybe if it was available on the HUD...

Agree with much of the above posts. These however are my specific wish items:

- Better quality paddle shifters.
- Manual gate option on gear shifter for top-line GT model.
- All 4 auto up/ down windows (only two front have this).
- Deeper exhaust note.
- Add a 1 sec delay and beep before power hatch quickly closes.
- Add a tachometer display in the HUD.
- Boost, torque, hp, and fuel consumption readings all in one display.
- Auto-brake-hold to stay on after every car start.

-Not having content cut from US model, and keeping the 19 inch staggered wheel setup for the all season package.
-Have the "E" badge and large rear Stinger script badge from factory, lighted sills, and remote start standard.
-UVO updates. SYNC3 was great on my last car. Able to speak an address normally for the navigation, select my music by saying "play artist x" or "album x" instead of navigating menus while driving.
-Would've loved an active exhaust, even with the "enhanced" setting it's still pretty mild, but I'm also coming from a exhaust modded V8 so it just might be me getting used a MUCH quieter drive.

Unless you (or the dealer) expressly ordered the all season 18" wheels and tires, the default is 19" staggered on all models. For cars on the lots (and it forced me to order mine) either Kia assumes you want all weather tires with the AWD, or dealers assumed that's what people want. Very few AWD cars around with the 19" wheels - at least where I live.

Interesting comment on the paddle shifters. I never gave it a thought - what would you change?
Manual gate is one major reason I ordered a GT1 rather than a GT2
I think there may be a safety restriction on auto up/down windows in the rear -- kid safety considerations. Do any vehicles have that?? I don't think so. Good way to trap a kid's arm.

Yeah it’s pretty common, my GLI has auto up/down on all 4. The windows have pitch detection though so if it senses an obstruction (arm or something sticking out the window) it will roll back down automatically. The Stingers front windows have this too.

Thanks, didn't know that. I've had those windows on the front in cars for years. Never saw one on the back windows.....

Speaking as a 2.0t Premium owner Is like to see the following top changes:
1. As many have said, Ability to disable the idle stop and go permanently. I hate it! Don’t feel I’m able to drive how I like to with that, sporty, unless I manually turn it off at each light, annoying.
2. Front cameras when parking - I had a Mazda6 for 11 years and never scratched the front bumper, but have already scratched the lower bumper on the Stinger. Most of the time the parking sensor beeps even when I’m far from an item but I’ve noticed at least twice the sensor did not turn on, maybe the concrete lip of the sidewalk was too low to detect but high enough to scratch the lower bumper. Wonder if anyone else has noticed the parking sensor not coming on.
3. Power hatch door to open and close with just a touch of a button. I believe this is available on gt2, should be on Premium also.
4. Remote start via UVO app since it’s avail on other Kias

I only have to hit the disable button once during my drive and it remembers that until the car is turned off... still a bit of a pain... default in settings would be nice!

Yep. Here in Colorado, every dealer ordered every AWD car with 18" wheels and all season tires. They assume (probably quite correctly) that customers who want AWD also don't want to mess around with summer tires or having to buy a second set of wheels and tires for winter. If I would have wanted my car with 19" wheels, I would have had to order it and wait even longer than I did.

All dealers are like that in this part of the country. All AWD cars on the lots always have all season tires if there's an option (Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, ect.) If you wanted summer only and it was an option, you'd have to special order it.

That’s nice, Im pretty sure after hitting it once it still comes on but will double check.

I'll be much happier having been stuck with 18" wheels once I put dedicated snows on them and have a 19" summer set of wheels and tires.
