The United States is getting ALL the colors...

I suppose the dealership can change their mind once it's delivered, but on their website it was listed at MSRP.

I see one listed on cars.com...have a feeling that is the one you are seeing @davebo. There are two more but both GT only. Fingers crossed the one that shows up in AZ near me is a GT2!

Hey don't spill the beans or someone else is liable to swoop in and nab it! :)

oops...sorry. At least that is a tad far for me if mine turns out to be a base GT!

Edit: I removed the dealer from above...;);)

Nah I was just joking around. People can already see I'm in Rockville, MD so there's only two Kia dealerships really close by. I'd prefer to get one from the one in Rockville though since I can literally walk there from work. It's great for dropping my Optima off for service. I've never bought a car in its first model year so just in case there are some recalls or warrantied maintenance it's nice to be close.

My wife and I are picking up our somewhat unusual Stinger tonight! It's a base model, no options, but in Micro Blue! I haven't been able to find any info on this combo, since Kia's website only shows silver, white, and black available for non-premium base models. When the sales mgr heard me lament about it, he said he thought he saw something in an Oregon dealer's site he thought was a typo. He called up and found it was correct. I jumped on it! I have heard about base models with the Driver 2 pkg in blue, but not a base unoptioned model. Has anyone else seen/ heard about this? I'm curious to know if this car is a fluke...

Sunset Yellow in GT and GT2 in both AWD and RWD are beginning to show up on cars.com in more numbers. I do notice they have a small LIMITED badge just above the front fender slots.

My dealer keeps pushing the "arrival" date saying they are hostage to the shipping companies...maybe next week.

That's kinda of weird though. I mean, If the base GT version comes with the LSD only otherwise found in the GT2 then it makes sense to have a Limited badge, but if the GT2 version doesn't have anything special about it aside from the color, why would you need a badge? People can see that it's yellow.
Unless... maybe Kia is adding Sunset Yellow to the normal lineup for next year? Any photos of the badge available?

Mach Tuck - Horne Kia now has a yellow GT2 AWD on their site.

Thanks Theil, looks like they have a photo of the Limited badge. Shame they stuck their own huge HORNE badge on the back already. Ought to add a T and make it a Hornet Stinger.

I would be ok with this for MY2019...especially if they add the other "missing" features. Will all depend on what i can get a "limited" for now. I will not pay extra for a limited badge and yellow cover however for the exact reason you state above.

To be honest, for a minute i had hoped the limited may have included all the other market options since Canada calls their GT2 a Limited and was about to jump on it. If color only...well, limited seems to be a stretch in my opinion.

Yes sir, i saw that one just now...unfortunately i am not all interested in the AWD version. Nor the massive HORNE badge they stuck on there. No free advertising on my vehicle!!

Yeah, I've been saying I only want Yellow for about a year now, but I'm going to have some serious buyers' remorse if I get a Limited then find I can waltz into any Kia dealer this Fall and pick up a Yellow GT2 for a few thousand under invoice.

My thoughts exactly so will all depend on what value the dealerships try to put on the "limited"

Unfortunately, I can't imagine they're going to drop the price much on a model with only 400 units that they had to literally battle another dealership just to get. Although maybe that'll vary depending on area. Even if they got one it may be a place where hardly anyone is buying $50k vehicles so that might help. My local dealers can't keep any GT2's in stock for long. They've got plenty of 2.0 Premium's in white and silver though!

Just stopped by the dealership on my lunch break and according to the head tech there, WA state is only getting FOUR. But I did see it in person (they got just 1) and it really does pop--not harshly as I initially thought they would be.

AAaand....He also said there's talk of deleting/combining trims, and that the base model was going get the axe...

Fine, kill the base and the base GT. Lower the price of GT1 and GT2. Maybe if they can streamline the trims they can afford to make more colors available?

I wish Cadillac would get rid of base models. Some of them are down right boring and plain looking. Not a good way to market your cars when most people are driving around showing off the boring base version...

Perhaps they intended the base versions as a 1st year-only "gateway drug?" ;) Of course, this is all hearsay, even if he does work for Kia.

Dealer in Illinois is selling the Limited at MSRP + a $1,987 discount and a $750 financing discount, so $2,737 below sticker, which sounds really close to invoice.
