The Stinger is a beast

I've actually seen multiple Stingers in JB4 in dyno'd in person that are almost the same hp/ft-lbs numbers with intake and exhaust, two of which I have recorded and posted on this forum. Burger Motorsport's intake numbers are either on a different version than I was during my dyno, differences between our dynos, or some other secret sauce that I do not have. I will tell you this, my numbers are completely unbiased, repeatable, and I have nothing to gain. I do think that it is interesting that most people that are over 500 ft-lbs at the wheel are extremely modified and have *WAY* more than an intake.

With that said, post your dyno results.
Yes unfortunately most people don’t know you MUST run many WOT runs before the ECU adapts to the increased airflow. Most of the experienced tuners know this and both Terry@BMS & John@Tork explained that it took forever for the car to adapt and for dyno results to show accurate gains.

Any dynos showing 0 gains from intakes and/or exhaust didn’t take this into account or they would have show similar gains as almost everyone else.

Here is Terry’s dyno comparison from just intakes using 91 octane & map2. 28whp & 28wtq peak.

SSR had very similar dyno results from just intakes. 29whp & 21wtq max gains.

Tork gained 44wtq@6100rpm max on a Stock Stinger from just intakes. He also gained 28whp peak & 50whp@6100rpm from both intakes & muffler deletes.

I know some people will argue that you can’t trust vendors that sell those products and will admit these are probably the absolute best gains possible. However I highly doubt all 3 companies would risk fraud by manipulating & lying about dyno results. So these gains may be high, but they are real.

Not sure why you think most people running over 500wtq are extremely modified since many JB4 Stingers easily run those numbers with only a couple bolt-ons. Another example is Katos JB4/WMI Stinger that ran 525wtq with just intakes and completely stock exhaust on a conservative Mustang dyno.

Lastly, most TQ gains come from a chip/tunes extra boost, while most bolt-on mods gain HP because they are usually reducing airflow restrictions. Another words, a FBO Stinger will have similar TQ(~500wtq) as a Stinger with just intakes, but should have 50whp+++ and close to 490whp like lap3s stock turbo record holder.;)

Hope that helps clarify and happy tuning.
