Yeah, even with all the different allowed options the 2018s had (0w30, 20w50, etc), 30 was the lowest weight that was allowed. I would demand a refill (no need to do filter again, just drain + refill) with 5w30 mininum..
My dealer places a piece of cardboard over it to direct spillage away.....seems to work well.I needed to get extenders for the ratchet, the steering module is in the way.
And yes, the steering module will get oil all over it. I wrapped mine in foil.
Was just at Costco the other week and saw this. Kirkland Full Synth oil. SN Plus and Dexos Gen2 rated which exceeds all requirements for the 3.3TT motor. $25 for 10 quarts ($12.50 per 5 quart jug). Made by Warren Distribution who makes Amazon Basics Full Synthetic.

What oil filter can I use? Does it have to be the OEM oil filter from the dealership, or is there a cheaper better filter I can use?
