That licence plate in front

What about that licence plate in front? Does the Stinger look better without it?

  • My Stinger didn't come with a licence plate in front, thank goodness.

No drill option. I am going to add an extension to move the plate higher.
You can do the same with some L brackets, bolts and wing nuts.
I used Sly Brackets. A little pricy but they work. There are other similar options that cost less.
I'm not seeing it. That plate looks lower.

Mine came with a mount centered...I lowered it a bit ..added carbon fibre trim and a vanity plate.....so it's all good now.

Utah actually 'requires' 2 plates, look up Utah 41-1a-404. There was an attempt in 2012 to defeat that, but it didn't pass.

Thankfully, it can only be pursued as a secondary action: IE, they can't pull you over for it, but if they stop you for something else, they can ticket you if you don't have one. That being said, a good ~20-30% of cars in Utah don't have that front plate, and I doubt you'd get a ticket for it unless you've pissed the cop off. If I get pulled over and it's mentioned, I'll tell the cop that it's a lease, and I don't want to get fined for drilling holes in it. Lol.

It's also worth noting that, here in Utah, if you have the front plate displayed in a way that an officer can see it but can't read it (such as your windshield/dash) they can actually pull you over with no other reason needed. So it's best to not have it displayed in the front at all, since that has to be a secondary offense to be cited for.
Got this info first hand when I got pulled over in my Cobra lol

Welcome "Zombie Prophet". A Cobra. Well, that is a car and a half; has always been my favorite sports car. A friend of mine (a "retired" SCCA driver) has had the privilege of driving several of the Cobras in the Larry H. Miller collection.

Are you a Stinger owner, or prospective buyer?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
2 plates are required in Illinois but there is no way I am putting the front plate on my stinger when I get it, I have never had front plates on my current car and never had any problem, probably because I live well outside of large cities.
