Test drove 2019 GT AWD - vibrations a big turn off :(

Maybe we should be glad there's only1harry. :)

Yes, I am glad there is only 1 of me too. I couldn't stand having a clone out there :D

God forbid you posted here that the 1st one you took home was not running right. You 'd be called "anal" by some, and be told it was your fault, not the car's, and you are "over-sensitive" (as I was told) :p

Thanks for the info on the BVA!!

Anyway, this is a 2019 GT and they took delivery of it 2 months ago. That's not very long ago, unless these Potenza's get flat spots easily after a short time... ?
No way that a car is going to have tire issues from sitting such a short time. And you are right that any hypothetical "flat spots" would run out within minutes. I suspect out of balance tires, or a faulty wheel bearing: something that is easy to fix once identified. But why should you deal with that, unless everything else about this car is what you want? But it isn't, because you already decided against AWD 18" rims (reduced top speed).

I had an 02 G35 sedan that had a vibration at highway speed that never was fully resolved even though they put new tires and rims on the car. I bought that car in Boston and didn't test drive it at highway speed. Never bought another car without going on the highway. With the Stinger I pretended like it was so powerful that I didn't notice I was going 90 but I did it on purpose to see if it was smooth. I have a 2019 it's smooth as silk. I also test drove a 2018 and another 2019 at a different dealership and they were smooth on the highway. All three GT1 AWD with 18" wheels.

So you never know but do yourself a favor and drive it fast to make sure there are no shakes. I can't imagine people who buy Teslas ordering online without ever test driving. I couldn't see myself ever doing that

Tires and/or wheels. Usually an out of round tire. You can balance an egg but it will vibrate. Another highly unlikely, remote possibility is a driveshaft that has lost a balance weight. Also check for an engine miss under load but that should show up in the engine diagnostics as a code. Ain't nuthin' that can't be found and fixed.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Could be the lane keep assist, try test diving with it off.
