so you technically dont need boostane to rum map 3? just 93 and gapped plugs from what i am understanding. and other mods dont dictate the mapping. its actually fuel quality?
So HKS M45iL is the way to go for JB4 MAP 2......thanks for heads-up on DensosMembers who have used them are finding that they don't last long and need to be replaced way before the claimed 40k miles.
A quick search on Denso's on this forum will get you the info you seek.
Do these Spark Plugs come already pre gapped? Sorry if this sounds stupid I'm just new to all of this. I want to make sure I install them properly. So far that seems to be the best way to go, when using the JB4
I regapped my stock plugs to .025(had jb4 readily available and had to wait on plugs) along with an injen cai only so far and ran maps 1-4 with 3 gallons of e85 on a full tank with good feel throughout. I have HKS plugs otw but will probably run more logs on the stock plugs before swapping them out so I can run some very similar logs between the two and maybe find some key diffs. I was told not to run map 4 but of course I did, power is power and we’re all little junkies so yes it runs just fine. Had Terry, who is awesome btw, take a look at my logs in map4 and he said they look fine (tip for anyone else new to logs- make sure you run wot long enough to get a solid log worth reading, otherwise it’s just a lot of spiking) **Just make sure you buy the gapping tool from bms or else you’ll hate regapping your stocks... it’ll take longer than it should and be annoying**So HKS M45iL is the way to go for JB4 MAP 2......thanks for heads-up on Densos

Thank you so much Terry, we all rely on each other’s input and yours carries a ton of weight with it. You’re the backbone to running JB4s. My ignition was worrying me since I just re-gapped my stock plugs instead of replacing them. Do you think I should still replace them with HKS or since my car is running smoothly just stick with the OEMS? Someone on here said you get a minor hp bump upgrading but I’d rather run smooth and clean which I am after re-gapping and I’ve ran up to Map 4 smoothly. How to read log thread is posted here: JB4 Logging Parameters - N54Tech.com - International Turbo Racing Discussion
At quick glance your photos seem fine. Target is boost requested over factory.
