I have the yellow and don't have any paint problems, but I also got the clear bra on the front within 2 weeks of having it which could be the saving grace. Maybe they could just give me the cost of the clear bra and call it even

Micro Blue in the US right? Interesting to hear. I have been noticing some paint issues with mine. I had the Corsa Blue Optima and in the > 70K miles I drove her, never saw issues with the paint that I am seeing on my < 10K miles Stinger.

I have zero clue. My guess is whatever protocol is for Australia they will follow for USA. Obviously, they found out its almost impossible to remove primer from plastic so it's cheaper to replace front and rear bumpers and have painted.

And from what I've been reading, Kia has been more keen to just offer money back for the car, which is not going to fly for me. I want to keep my car, just have them repaint everything, I guess.

I would probably go for a swap if they want to give me a red gt1 as an even swap.. I would do that and the wife would love it as she likes the red better than the yellow.

Just got off the phone with Kia Stinger customer care. My agent said she has heard of issues like this coming up on the yellow. Please if you have a yellow car and have paint chips, call them and make it aware. I figure there are only 400 so the more people complain the more likely they are to help.

As for what they do for everyone, buy back is out of the cards for me. I love my car, i love the color i just want to be able to drive it and not cringe every time i hear a bug or small rock hit the car.

I am in this with you guys as well. We have to sell these Stingers. Probably 99% of the dealers do not even know what is going on with the paint. Maybe they might now with the stop sale but when you are going up against BMW,Audi and so on this only complicates matters. Wish I had a dollar for every time I tried to give the Stinger praise only to hear....."ya,but I can't drive a KIA" Well have you? almost always followed by a "NO"

If you are looking for a Sorento let me know. We have to get rid of our 18s. KIA will not offer lease incentives on them past July 31st due to the 19s being out. If you want a smoking deal......now is the time.
