Hey, looking to switch over to summer tires any decent ones for under $200. I previously had DWS06+ installed in October but now the tread is on its way out the door for the rear tires after only about 12k miles I'll be lucky to squeeze out another 2k. I live in the Midwest and do a lot of highway driving

You'd better with a set of all-season or grand touring tires. Hunt around and catch some on sale with a fat rebate.

I have done 54,000 kilometers on the Continental Allseason

Nitto Motivo 365, with a speed rating "W", are a little less than Contis. But you have to give up the "Y". Nittos have a 60K miles treadlife warranty. I have been very satisfied with the Motivo, which is rated "Y", but I guess Nitto has changed the construction with the Motivo 365. Because "Y" was overkill? I don't know. Maybe I'll try the DWS06 Plus instead - 50K miles treadlife warranty isn't bad. I like the conceit of a "Y" rated A/S. How much grip do you really need, for speed, on a road? I used to change to summer PS4S but decided that the Motivo grips well enough for cornering fun. They certainly wear better than Michelin PS4S.

You aren't going to find a decent "summer" tire for under $200. Even the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is well over $200 now. And they don't even list a miles warranty. I have read very checkered reviews on the Firehawk Indy 500. But that's probably as close to "under $200" as your going to find and still stick with a "brand name" of repute.

Through Discount Tire I ordered a set of DWS06’s, 285/30r20’s that were $278 each. W mounting/balancing and road hazard certificates, I was out the door at $771. And those are rated at 50k miles. We’ll see. I’d be happy w 30k.

That's what I'm running you will be happy with those handling and lifespan just rotate accordingly

Got a flat yesterday. Ended up being a gash on the inner sidewall. I’ve got about 13k miles on the Continentals. Discount swapped it out for free. Glad I bought the road hazard coverage. I do have to buy road hazard coverage for the new tire but that’s understandable. $50 is cheap insurance.

Lexana Lx Twenty check them out on simpletire can't beat the price
