Nitto Motivo 365, with a speed rating "W", are a little less than Contis. But you have to give up the "Y". Nittos have a 60K miles treadlife warranty. I have been very satisfied with the Motivo, which is rated "Y", but I guess Nitto has changed the construction with the Motivo 365. Because "Y" was overkill? I don't know. Maybe I'll try the DWS06 Plus instead - 50K miles treadlife warranty isn't bad. I like the conceit of a "Y" rated A/S. How much grip do you really need, for speed, on a road? I used to change to summer PS4S but decided that the Motivo grips well enough for cornering fun. They certainly wear better than Michelin PS4S.
You aren't going to find a decent "summer" tire for under $200. Even the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is well over $200 now. And they don't even list a miles warranty. I have read very checkered reviews on the Firehawk Indy 500. But that's probably as close to "under $200" as your going to find and still stick with a "brand name" of repute.
