Subs in the 9 speaker system same as the ones in the 15 speaker system?

I am trying to figure out which cars actually have the subwoofers. This is proving more difficult than it should be.

GT 2 is the only one. See my pic in this thread. In Australia we have. 330, 330si and the GT all of which have different specs but same drive train and motor, only the GT or in USA the GT 1 and GT2 has the 15/speaker system that has under seat subs.

Thank you for posting this. Does this mean the GT has 2 speakers behind the bottom grill + the tweeter for a total of 3 per front door? The diagram also shows under-seat subs unless I am not understanding the document. Does the GT have 11 speakers?

GT has 1 speaker behind the bottom grill and two subs under the seat. the pdf has couple of pages missing, there are two options a mobis amp (for the 9 speaker system) and a harman amp (15 speaker system).

Thanks, any details on the specs of the amp or the speakers? (infinity, Jbl, Harmon?)

this was not for the purpose of what you have merely the locations most people do not have the subs in the base GT

I really don't know. I have seen lots of marketing materials indicating no subs and have heard directly from one owner who says he has the subs. Even from that diagram i can't see 3 speakers in the front door.

we are soon going to find out as the more I look at that sub speaker placement picture in sure that's what's under my seat not a cover but the subs unit itself , my buddy who was getting me all the tech info when I take it in there next week for the rattle in tailgate is going to pull one of the seats and check it out once and for all will be taking pick

did you look at the amp to check tour connector is hooked up to the B connector 16,17 18,19 ?

That is for the base GT model

I test drove a GT, connected my iPhone to it (no, did NOT download all my contact info - ack if I did!), and listened to some 256bit AAC music. Listened to some with decent base, and then listened to some jazz and full acoustic stuff I had. It wasn't half bad. It's as good or better than the 12 speaker Bose system I have in my Mazda6, and at least the Stinger is a bit more muted/quiet on the road vs the Mazda6 (2014 btw). So I'm pleased enough with it. Hope that helps.
