Hm, not St. Louis?

Looks like a lot of good options and maybe we can start narrowing down our top 5. Seems like most suggested central USA and nowhere with snow as our best choices. That means CO, KS, and MO are the top states for summertime centralized locations. If closer to fall/winter then it may be better to go further south. Is that a fair compromise to everyone so far?

that sounds good to me. I wouldnt mind a roadtrip to CO KS or MO!

I love to drive so it kind of depends on the event itself as to how far I'm willing to go. LOL

Just doing some brainstorming:
  • Carlisle (PA) Import & Performance Nationals - May 2019
  • Nashville and Indianapolis (Motor Speedway) are generally cheaper than Chicago where it costs $50/day to park downtown.
  • National Museum of Transportation -
2933 Barrett Station Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122
  • Virginia International Raceway -
  • The Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg, TN area has all kinds of auto gatherings, car shows and rod runs
Sorry, I tired to include some links but I'm a newbie so links not permitted. Try to make it a destination/experience location to generate more interest and attendance and plan for a time of year that's good for travel for the chosen area.

Okay, well, we're going to start in the U.S. because most of our members are here. With a little strategic planing - we can also make this easily accessible to our brothers and sisters to the north in Canada.

We also have a large Australian presence here - so perhaps every other year we'll have a separate event "down under". Or, perhaps, we can figure out a way to have StingerFest there simultaneously...

In the meantime, we need to figure out where in the U.S. we're going to have StingerFest take place. We need to throw around a few ideas and then start a poll...

I think it would be best to have the event somewhere central/north'ish so that it's not TOO far a hike for anyone to come.

If we were to have it where I live in Florida, that makes it a challenge for anyone in California, New York and the central/northern U.S. - and it goes without saying - that would be quite a hike for anyone in Canada.

Same goes for Texas. California would make it difficult for anyone in New York, and New York would make it difficult for anyone in California. So we need to try and be fair and make this as easy as possible for as many people as possible.

I think Nebraska or Iowa might actually make the most sense...

But that's me! I want to hear/see your thoughts and all come to an agreement on where it would be best to host StingerFest...

Thank you!
I would be partial to a Texas location such as Dallas/Fort Worth area since that is central to most of the US. Really any central US location is best, however DFW is central located for driving distance from LA, Atlanta, Florida, Chicago. All of these are 10 - 20 hour routes.
Regardless it should not be on either East or West coast as that would pretty much rule out anyone driving from the other coast.
