Stinger Pricelist Austria Europe

Thanks for that Esum.

So at a rough exchange rate from a Euro that would be around AUD 100k for a GT.

A KIA for a 100 large, won't be on the top seller list.

What does an Optima cost in Austria? I'm curious if Kia models just typically cost more there, or if this is the cost we can expect in other parts of the world. I can't imagine that the Stinger will start in the low 50's USD and go up to and above 70k for a loaded 3.3 in the US.

If it does, this old man is out. :(

Shooting themselves in the foot it seems. Looks like they're going to fail at making their entry into the luxury car market.

I guess we could wait a year and take the upcoming 10K rebate in the 2018 summer madness sale.

Optima base base no nothing Titan 2.0 MPI from 25.500 €
Optima GT starts at 52.000 €

Whats interesting is that the Stinger has 244 CO2 g/km and hence 31% tax in my country. A 2017 340i 169 CO2 g/km and only 14%. Seems like Kia has a lot of catching up to do in the engine development department before the prices will be competitive to the German brands in counties that tax this way

Holy shit. 43k Euros = 50k USD. For a base model? No way...

Awesome color choices, though.

If they're going to set the prices that high in those markets, I'm surprised they're even bothering bringing them there at all. Is it just on a made-to-order basis like sure, we'll ship you one if you want to sign something and pay up front, or are they actually going to put Stingers in showrooms and just hope someone shells out that much for one?

Well, the other interesting part is these prices are not reflected in the Korean market. They are much closer to where we expected to be over there. So why such a big variance in places like Austria?

Those Austrian prices include the CO2 taxes. These are the prices with the tax removed:

2.0T RWD: 36,686
3.3T AWD: 47,931

Disturbing. I hope this is just an Austrian thing.

Could the automotive press be that far off about prices in the U.S.? MT's 2018 buyer's guide (just came out) is still predicting $32,000 to $41,000 for base prices, which would logically lead to a tad over $50k fully loaded. Since this is in line with the prices we saw on the questionnaire, I'm wanting to believe it.

Aren't there any disgruntled Kia employees willing to leak info?

Don't those stinger prices include vat also? no value added tax in USA, subtract another 18% or so.

Edit: VAT rate in Austria is 20%

My Austrian isn't too good ,lol, but it looks like the GT 3.3 comes with everything standard? sort of like G80 Sport in USA?

Yes, except some exterior and interior colors all inclusive. But still... come on Kia, charging exactly the same as BMW for a 340i M Sport?

In the USA the 340i with M Sport package is like $57k, so if the Stinger GT tops out just a hair over $51k, I don't know why they wouldn't keep it relative. Although I'd just use the 340i w/ M Sport as a reference in terms of price. It's not very comparable as a car since it has less power, no liftback and one site is telling me that on that trim the rear seats don't even fold? Can that be right?

True. But a 440i M Sport is 64.500 €, just 2k more
And even with less rated horepower, the BMW's 0-60 times are even quicker
