With the 2019 model year getting close I am getting excited about my purchace (very big deal for me). I test drove 2 other opting today.
2018 Buick Regal GS. Did not like OFF MY LIST. Transmission did not like especially in manual mode. Drives nice in GS mode but a ot of road noise. And last not enough power.
2018 lincoln MKZ reserve 3.0t AWD. Wow 400hp I know it's not faster than the stinger but it felt like it. I VAS VERY IMPRESSED since going in I did not think I would like it.
Don' get me wrong I love the stinger and everything about it BUT, the PAINT CHIP deal, the horrible SEAT WEAR issue, and now of late the WARPING ROTORS issue really weighing heavy on me it' like "what' next"
The other thing I am annoyed with is that they have stopped production on the 2018 model and ramping up the 2019 and of the 4 Dealers on the Delmarva peninsula NONE OF THEM have received a RWD GT version "much less a RWD GT2 that I am interested" so I can test and compare. I drove the AWD GT and loved it, but GT2 RWD I would imagine is a little different. I will be ready for purchase in NOV, DEC, or JAN. I just hope something changes with the 2019 model by then.

Just wanted to add that the MKZ test drive was in the rain! Plus it did not have the drivers package with torque vectoring that is supposed to be pretty awsome.
Also would like to drive a alfa guilia but hope the release 2019 with a 350hp v6.

Great

Seems you've chosen the MKZ. I say go with that. More awesomeness for us!! Well, not more...just better awesomeness for us. :geek:

Not necessarily just another good option

Good for you! It just seems as most on this forum have at least one of the issues.

"Most" is a stretch. "Some" is a better word. Kia has sold over 25k Stingers worldwide. This forum represents a small percent of those buyers.

I'm 4 months/6k miles in with no issues.

Regardless, everyone has a choice. Enjoy your Lincoln. You don't owe any of us an explanation.

I just perused the MKZ forums and guess what? They have issues too! Lol

You can't base your purchase on some forum threads. People go on a forum to bitch and complain. And if you are worried about reliability, then take that Giulia off your list. Even a quick Google search shows how many problems there are with that vehicle.

If you're going to buy a 2019 model, you'll be fine regarding any issues you're worried about. The paint chip one has apparently been solved and the leather thing I have never seen.

You're free to go with any of those other vehicles but there will always be problems that arise, especially with a first year model. The 2019s will be out soon, so give those a look!

In my humble opinion, the Stinger outdoes just about every other 4-door sedan on looks (and many comparable ones on performance, after driving it on a track).

Good luck with your search, it's exciting to have options!

No need for name calling

I said most "on this forum". Why are you getting upset weirdo. Just opinion of what I am reading. It' OK to love your car but......

There is no part of me that has had an emotional reaction to a single thing you've posted, weirdo.

How you figure I'm upset is beyond me. *Shrugs*

I understand problems and issues of ourse of the 5 new vehicles I have perched only one had a problem and it was paint.
I just think 2 of the 3 issues I am reading on the stinger are a pretty big quality issue for a 50k+ car (paint and seats) rotors shouldn' happen but not that big.

Seems pretty emotional
Funny how you mention something good about another vehicle and defenses come out. Never said I was purchasing anything until Nov. Just options hat
I have driven.
Just venting frustration of kia
Dealers sucks
Service suck'
Few (what I consider serious issues ) for the stinger suck
Not being able to see or drive the model I would buy suck
Ect.

That isn't emotional. That isn't even remotely emotional. That's what it looks like when someone sends you well wishes.

You have paranoia issues if you think "enjoy your Lincoln you owe us no explanation" is someone being angry with you.

I didn't defend Kia because you mentioned something good about Lincoln. I don't care what you do with your money. It's YOUR money!

I defended Kia because I disagree with your assessment that most people on this forum are having issues with their car.

What you spend your money on is of no consequence to me. That's why I told you to enjoy the Lincoln (the car you seem to like the most, based on your original post and second post).

No personal attacks...and I actually think it's really funny that he's given me a pet name.

I'm blushing over here.

My service department has been nothing short of fantastic. People who complain about the Kia dealerships should try checking out newer ones, they're definitely different from the dealerships of old. There's 100% some bad Kia dealers in my area, you just have to find a good one.
