Not sure they say May as the car was reordered mid jan. Don’t have a VIN yet. I’m very patient as you can see.... NOT!

You might get it quicker, thats a common dealer stock car. I think each dealer gets two cars for stock. If so you might be able to get your dealer to swap. Thats how i got my car a month earlier. It was a pleasant surprise.

Yes I did but I wanted a 2018 build and they stuffed up. The car they offered was 2017 build so I would have lost out because the car would have been a year old regardless of the month.

Insurance can and will vary widely.
Got my cover through RACWA, agreed value / new replacement policy, $500 xs for $60 per month, it was $5 less than previous car which was valued about $25k less, and also a turbo variant. Those safety features must really bring the rate down on the stinger..or my impeccable driving. 'zero hero' but as my family say how on earth can that be
So shop around but check the xs's and policy details.
Tip: many insurers offer large online discounts, so worth exploring that too.

RACWA $668 for $63000 cover $550 excess 65% no claim bonus

I don’t think I can ever manage that price though I am in Perth. Have you been an RACWA member for long? And is there a huge difference based on the age of the primary driver? I am 35 and the lowest I can get it down to is $950 with 600 excess.

Thats bloody good, im 54 with no claims and thats as good as i get here in Sydney.

I’m an Insurance Broker by trade and pay for the best cover available. I pay $166 per month with a $650 excess. The beauty about this insurance is that it offers full replacement of vehicle in the event of a total loss. Even after 5 years as well as hire car if involved in an accident not just for theft only.

Thats damn good, you should spruik your wares in the forum it seems a popular subject. The early stinger receipients found it hard because none of the insurance had the car listed back around Sept/Oct.

In my opinion anything around $800 is a good price. You've opted for agreed value so are probably incurring a surcharge. If, as you state, the policy provides new for old you don't need agreed value.

Allianz approx $1850.
RACV Approx $1750
AAMI Approx $1300
Suncorp the cheapest at $1150.

All with similar excess.

Generally the motoring clubs are pretty reasonable.
