Stinger GT2 2022 infotainment update file

I was just on the kia site today. I guess this will turn into a year long pause until the 2026 update is out.

@renobles It's not a file, but several, and the archive is huge, 44 or 48GB! If you got a fast place I can upload to, i'll share, but im not uploading at snail's pace. I want to saturate this gig connection.

@JSolo thanks for the offer. I live a bit out in the boonies so the best I get out here is 250mbps. So 25-28MB/s, which would be somewhere between 30mins to an hour I think if my math works. Let me know an I'll setup a drop folder for you. I'm happy to host that for anyone else but my upload is MUCH slower at ~15mbps.

Why do you think you need this update?

I have never updated my 2023 Stingers since new.

The latest dashcams I run have the identical software for red light and speed cameras, school crossings that the 2023 Stinger has. There is nothing in these updates that will make your Stinger go faster.

if it's not broken don't fix it.

The software updates for these cars are over as Kia has washed their hands on this model.

But, it depends on the year and if you have the Kia connect app that was offered on later models.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
How did you come by this news?
Navigation only going forward. Because our vehicle is a 2021, they don't update anything other than that

due to the limitations of the hardware as it gets outdated over time. Unless, you have a 2023 or newer and

utilize the Kia Connect app which is not available to me because the car is older. We don't use the stock

infotainment anyways, as we can just connect a wireless dongle that allows us to use our phones thru

Android Auto.

Lets not forget, they did rollout the 11/2025 update in the canadian market to all the models.

Thanks. So map updates into the foreseeable future? That's all I want anyway, updated maps.
Yes. But here is why. And it's no big deal.

In the end they have to update the NAV, but it isn't forever, as they move on to newer tech.
